It won't matter, don't you know how they operate by now? By the time we get to where a Republican president does such a thing, they will already have spun Obamacare into a Bush/Cheney/Neocon idea to line the pockets of Big Pharm, and Democrats were lied to and forced to go along with it! Not a peep. And, of course, we have to look at their respective "pet projects", if you will. Obama trying to ensure everyone has medical coverage. Obama trying to help over half a million young people.

And Bush? War and war and more war along with allotting no-bid contracts to his war-mongering buddies. Republican Presidential candidates suggesting children should be school janitors while Republican supporters give a standing ovation to a two-timing two-timer accused of trying to sell the idea of an open marriage to one of his three wives.

Not much surprises me when it comes to Republicans and Republican supporters. Clear, documented, vile and disgusting behavior on national TV, no less. And then there's PmP whom you showed to be a bald faced liar and Dixie who insists on remaining wilfully ignorant by refusing to watch a video and, perhaps, learn something.

What can I say? What can anyone say? The retrogressive, corrupt and debauched beliefs and actions of Republicans are an assault on the morals and decencies of every human being and they have the unmitigated gall to claim their objection to abortion is moral when it's been shown their concern is about having sufficient workers to support the elderly. While that could be a natural concern if the entire world population was decreasing such is not the case. Racism and prejudice preclude increased immigration which would benefit both the immigrant and the US citizen which brings us back to the over half million young people Obama is trying to help. If Republicans had their way they'd be victims of their own stupidity.

Please, don't talk about how democracies are run when the Repubs lied up and down about Saddam and Iraq. A temporary reprieve for young people is not exactly a dictatorship. Young people are/were being thrown out of the country as the Repubs did nothing but stall. Lives shattered, be it schooling or a job. Families torn apart while the Repubs did nothing! Someone had to step up to the plate.

As I mentioned in msg #31 considering the ageing population this is not the time to be throwing educated, working young people out of the country. What are/were the Repubs thinking besides doing all they can/could to disrupt social programs?

And how long did it take to pass Obamacare? And why are parts of the bill a mish-mash other than the Repubs having tried to thwart it? And how many young people would have been thrown out while the Repubs stalled?

The answer is there was no time to wait. A decision could have been made right away. A temporary reprieve just like Obama did. Yea instead of Nay. Simple, really. But nooooo, keep kicking the future of the country out of the country all the while bitching there won't be enough working people to support pensions. Is that too difficult for you to comprehend?

Hopefully, if and when a Republican President is elected he/she will be a big improvement over the last few candidates, Romney included.

The biological weapons Saddam had were no good. I guess you missed that memo. They were from the Gulf War and degraded. In any case, of course Saddam could manufacture biological weapons. Students in universities could manufacture biological weapons if they could get the stuff to work with. Surely a country like Iraq had scientists capable of manufacturing them. The point is he wasn't manufacturing them. He wasn't building bombs. Lies, nothing but lies.

As for the amnesty it gives Congress time to deal with the problem. Even if American students can't find jobs now that doesn't change the fact the US will need more people working to support pensions when the economy returns. It's too late if the young, educated people have been thrown out.

Look, it's really quite simple. The Repubs have obstructed Obama from day one. Obama is a doer. As a community organizer I'm sure he encountered people who deliberately stalled and obstructed any plans he put forward so he's used to that tactic. Granted, it may not be the conventional way government has been run but who wants the conventional way? How many people have said Washington is broken? If the Repubs won't co-operate he'll do whatever he can do to solve problems. It's that simple.

And in November, he will be thrown out of office by an overwhelming majority of Americans who reject his authoritarian approach. In his place, will be a president who will completely undo everything Obama has done, and you are back at square one. Next time, I would suggest you try a bipartisan approach to change, it works much better that way.
