Obamacare .. after nearly 7 years of whining about it, republicans still don't have a plan to replace it. NOW they are faced with HAVING to have a plan that replaces it with lower costs and one that covers as many people as Obamacare did. :0) Maybe they can replace Obamacare with the ACA.

Oh yeah .. then there is the coming years with an ever-evolving American population that republicans have no connection to.

From where I sit .. it's a good time to be a democrat.

I somewhat understand what you are saying but Republicans control the Presidency, Congress and possibly soon SCOTUS. They control a majority of Governorships and State Legislatures.

All this stuff ebbs and flows over time of course and by no means are these currents conditions anything close to permanent but why is it good being this far in the hole?

It is of course not good to be that far in the hole as far a mechanisms of power. It is an interesting disconnect between all the DEm favoring megatrends and faults of Republican leader Trump that BAC specifies, and the control of government that Repugs enjoy.

Republicans control everything in large part because of the failures of the centrist Democratic Party that abandoned workers for the glitter of corporate dollars. They took the Left for granted.

Obama didn't go far enough with the ACA .. used a plan from the Heritage Foundation instead, and opened himself and elected democrats up to attacks. The irony, now republicans have to replace it .. which can be as devastating to them as Obamacare was to democrats.

In the age of Trump with an evolving population .. it's a really good time to be a democrat .. and I haven't been one in 20 years.
