The debate

The connies are in all kinds of denial this morning.

Told ya he was the wrong guy to nominate. Sorry.

When the only reason you picked who you support is what's supposedly between her legs, tell me how that's a qualification.

To be clear...the low bar that was set for Trump doesn't equate to 'he did well on trade'. He kept repeating his own word salad, which at times was completely unintelligible.

Sure...he mentioned trade agreements. The problem is, even Right wing agencies don't claim that NAFTA had any real effect on jobs in this country.

Debates don't do anything to sway either base. Trump lost big time with Independents who haven't been following the day to day idiocy of his campaign.

He exposed himself as even less qualified to be in any leadership position than Palin ever was.

'Using laws' to screw contractors is not going to fly.

Calling a pageant winner 'Miss Piggy', and then doubling down this morning by claiming 'they had a lot of problems with her...she put on a lot of weight' is not going to help him with women.

Do you really think the "Miss Piggy" comment is going to sway people? Crooked ILLary has spent $100 million in advertising in swing states. I am sure you have seen the ads. She has tried to pull every "bad" thing Trump has said this past year and it hasn't mattered. The Miss Piggy comment will cause faux indignation from people like you, but it won't move the needle. Newsflash. Miss Universe isn't supposed to be a fat cow. Normal people get that. People who are ruled by their feels (i.e. you) don't and won't.

Name one thing Crooked ILLary did or said last night that makes people say "Yeah, she isn't a liar"

If the first debate really mattered and had that much influence, then Romney would be running for his second term. Calm down lefties. I realize that this debate gets you all jazzed up because of how badly Crooked ILLary had been doing the past three weeks. But I don't think it will change much

Before NAFTA was in place Mexico was a backwater. Between the corruption and the low skills -manufacturers would not go there.
NAFTA gave them an economic incentive (wages/environmental concerns/regs in general) to do so.

Meanwhile the US became more hostile to manufacturing -not just environmental impact evaluations before building -
but retro-active regs after. Considering the YUGE among of regs pumped out by the Obama administration
why would any ner industry want to locate here?

A pretty different dynamic, but I'd agree that the race is far from over.

Last night was Trump's first impression with a lot of voters who he needs, and he really blew it. Can he still win them over? It's hard to say. With all of the stakes of last night (and Kelly Anne knew what they were, even if Trump didn't), it was crazy how poor his preparation was.

And he couldn't keep his cool, which is what he needed to do. If he could have maintained what he did for the 1st 10 minutes throughout the debate, he would have easily won, and changed the dynamic of the race significantly. Hillary goaded him, and he went for it - it was almost too easy for her.

Damn, you sure must be trying to work your way up in the pucker line. That might get you a few steps closer.

Your comments are lame this morning.

Just my opinion on the debate. And believe you me, I can tell from the comments of the righties what they thought of Trump's performance.

He blew it. As I've said many times, Kasich would be trouncing Hillary right now, and likely would have easily won the debate last night. How GOP voters chose Trump is incomprehensible.

No debate ever swayed either base. This is about those in the middle...who will decide the election.

Many don't follow the day to day antics of the election cycle. So for many, Trump's decades of misogyny have gone unnoticed.

I see. So you are against environmental regulations?

The sad part is you had determined those comments before the debate occurred.

Kasich would? Prove it. It's easy to tell that your can't be taken seriously since you make claims as fact that didn't occur.

It's easy to tell why you picked Hillary. Your wife not giving you any so you're trying for some strange? Maybe your wife is too tired from seeing me.

I see. So you are against environmental regulations?
you are smarter then that?
it's the over-reach. why are we regulating Ozone as a health hazard?
and if we must do so -why are we trying to get into the 70 ppb where even dry cleaners in a neighborhood cannot meet the standards.

why is NATURAL GAS now a boogyman? I mean you can only do so much with solar panels.
we are hamstringing ourselves for no reasons, and instead of manufactures building here, they go there.
With no net difference on world 'pollutions'

I won't even start on WOTUS..

He helped himself with his base, but he already had that locked up.

The question is if she helped herself with the Gary Johnson / Jill Stein voters who traditionally will now start to move toward one of the two major candidates.

He tried to curry favor with the Mid-Western states that he needs, but it seemed like pandering to me.

Well, from my perspective she did not help herself. Donald might have hurt himself enough to make some of those voters shift.

Her demands for more surveillance were alarming. Her (and Donald's) attacks on the second amendment as a response to police brutality is nothing more than blaming the victims and I fail to see how it is any different than Trump's idiotic demands for more stop and frisk.

Her "me too" in favor of "protectionism" really does not bode well for our country.

But she did clearly "win" the debate. When Trump was not lying he was babbling incoherently. His answer on "cyber security" was nothing but bloviating and bluff. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about and though I am sure his ten year old son has a better grasp of those issues than he does, Donald's reference to his son there was weird and strangely funny.
