That is fairly typical of any job where there is a strong union. We have child molesters working for our public school systems, due to the same core problem.

It seems like every few months or so down here in Harris country we have some inmate found dead in his cell after being arrested the night before.

Inevitably, whenever someone is found dead, the officers will claim he "resisted" and they had to "forcibly restrain" the inmate.

And just as inevitably, any investigation will find insufficient evidence to charge the officer with anything.

And if liberals tried to do anything about it the law and order crowd would pwn us. Maybe through a coalition of libertarians and non-authoritarian liberals we could get something done, but the law and order crowds a bitch.

Not in our generation. Of course that comes with the youthful rebellion and all that. But because OUR current generation is the most politically active that youth have been in a very long time, it's more than likely going to happen sooner rather than later. And I can certainly be thankful for that.
