* A Modesto California police officer is on paid leave after he was arrested for violating a protection order stemming from felony domestic violence charges filed against him in March.federal law should have made it impossible for this guy to be a cop after the restraining order, but obvious favortism allowed him to violate the order 3 times as well as being a DV suspect in possession of a firearm.

* And finally… The LaGrange Missouri police department is working with the ASPCA to better train their officers after coming under criticism after a dashcam video was leaked on YouTube showing a police officer shot an American Bull Terrier that was already on a pole leash in the chest and then, while the dog was laying down wagging it’s tail, shot it in the head on the roadside. The woman who called the police even said she didn’t think the dog deserved that. The approximately 7 minute video of the incident is [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kJVnA5KXJw"]here[/ame], but be warned that it may be unsuitable for some. another case of trigger happy cops when it comes to dogs. If you don't watch the video, the dog was indeed on a pole leash and while struggling but still being controlled, was no danger to anyone when the cop shot it in the head.
