The Daily injustice report vol. 10

* The Nashville Tennessee police DUI task force is accused of making false DUI arrests due to pressure to meet quotas or face discipline.
It's not about keeping the peace anymore, it's about the money, remember that.

* The Catoosa County Georgia sheriff’s department has been named as part of a multi-million dollar lawsuit filed by a former teacher who was recently acquitted on several child molestation charges alleging she was falsely charged and maliciously prosecuted.
Followed this sham of a trial since it started. While it's great that the jury could see through the lies and deceptions put upon Ms. Craft by the court, the prosecutor, and the witnesses against her, it's a tragedy that the same court system is going to shield all those who conspired to imprison an innocent American. So, in all fairness, this isn't necessarily police misconduct as much as it is judical misconduct on the scale of a high crime.

* The Las Vegas Nevada police department has settled a lawsuit for $89,000 to a 53-year-old man who was shot without warning by police when he answered his door holding handgun. He claimed he didn’t know they were police until he opened the door and was shot without warning.
the article states that there was the possibility of a brandished handgun earlier, so I can understand some officer awareness being heightened, but not even attempting to give the man a chance to put the gun down first?

* Canton Georgia police officers are accused of needlessly tasering an autistic man after handcuffing him. The man was later found not guilty of the charges police arrested him with thanks, apparently, to the incident being captured on dashcam video.
the taser was introduced as a less lethal method to subdue actively combative suspects, not as a pain compliance tool, which is what it is starting to be used more and more as. Eventually you're going to find the citizenry will not tolerate these tactics and start upping the ante.

* A Winfield Missouri police officer was arrested after he was caught in a sting operation buying cocaine while in uniform. The person wearing a wire in the sting was the officer’s brother who agreed to cooperate with the sting after he was arrested on drug charges as well.
his own brother? wow.

* A Louisville Kentucky police officer is accused of speeding in an unmarked police SUV without lights or siren before he crashed into a killed a 22-year-old woman. The witnesses making the claim say the officer almost hit them when he passed them right before the accident and that responding police officers refused to take their report when they tried to tell them what happened.
something we've seen numerous times before. A civilian caused accident, the police want every witness statement imaginable, but an officer caused accident and suddenly civilians are way too incompetent to provide an accurate and factual statement.

* A Corpus Christi Texas Independent School District police officer (yes they have full arrest powers) was arrested after he had threatened to shoot seven children and at least four adults inside the home of his estranged wife.
will be interesting to see this play out, but that's why only police officers should be allowed to carry guns in schools.

* A Hampton Virginia police officer was arrested on assault charges after unspecified allegations made by “household member”.
talked about this yesterday. still no word on whether he's been relieved of active duty yet or not.

* A Lee County Florida deputy is the subject of a lawsuit filed by a woman claiming he used excessive force by breaking her her arm while arresting her on false charges for protesting the arrest of her boyfriend.

* A Martinsville Indiana police officer was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after police tried to stop him and a woman he was with after they exited a men’s restroom together at a concert.

* A Virginia Beach Virginia police officer had his license suspended for two years and was subject to a small fine after he was convicted on DUI charges. The officer had resigned shortly after his arrest.

* A New Hanover County North Carolina deputy has resigned after being arrested on DUI charges. He was arrested after being pulled over by a state trooper for speeding.

* A Newport News Virginia deputy has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a female prisoner who he smuggled items into jail for and apparently aided in her failed escape attempt.

Fixed that for you. :good4u:

Wow...once again we see FreeDumb is more than willing to engage in actions he himself was whining about earlier.

In this case...it's changing someone else's post...not 24 hours ago he was whining that STY had "changed his post" yet here he is doing just that.

Mr. "Do As I Say & Not As I Do" is alive and well...and his name is USFreeDumb.

I knew you were a closet Liberal; because here you are making false accusations, that you can't prove, and you run like a coward from a bet that would prove you wrong.
