The CPI Inflation Rate A Sizzling 9.1% In June; Dow Jones Tumbles

next time I am filling up my tank with my rebate money, I'll try to remember you said it was a terrible idea.
Sorry you need rebate money to pay for gas. That's dire straights.
California has a massive, historic, unprecedented budget surplus. I cannot think of a better way to use the surplus than to help consumers against inflationary pressures.
I can. Invest it so you'd have a Permanent Fund Dividend too. But AK was the only state that had that vision.
If you don't think anything can be done to alleviate inflationary pressure on consumers, why complain about it?
I'm not. Just saying it's stupid to use the same policy for the cure as the policy which caused the illness. Anyway, enjoy your free money. You'll find out eventually it's not free.

Republicans have never done better w/ the economy in the modern era - except for Reagan's 1st term. Otherwise, Dems have always pulled us out of the mess that Republicans created.

As it is this time. Trump absolutely crashed the economy. You can't build it back in a day. By the time Biden ends his 1st term, I have no doubt we'll be better off than we were when Trump left office (we already are, but the economy will be humming again in a year or 2).
They ignore the supply chain issues that began with trump's tariffs, and were exacerbated by the trump virus.

Total horse mierda.

The market is now existing without the billions that the Fed pumped into it during the trump virus.

CEOs are taking profits from inflated share prices. As are many who saw share prices artificially skyrocket.

This is the thread:

Stay on topic and stop spamming the thread.
And the bogus claim is that it's due to Biden's policies.

Are you going to keep running from the questions posed?

Thanks to Governor Newsome's rebate checks, I am basically getting about 6 months worth of free gasoline.

What exactly is governor Desantis doing for you to reduce the effects of inflation? Its seems like all he is doing is banning school books and crying about woke culture.i
Florida cannot disburse that kind of money, because they are now on the hook for $3billion in Disney expenses.

The World got sick- over a million Americans died and thousands of American businesses died as well, because we didn't do enough to pre-empt a lot of the inevitable that a pandemic will surely bring along with it.

We were told by our president at the time- That the virus was not a real threat and that it would end in just a few days and that he had everything under control!

And even after the shit hit the fan- WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ONES TRYING TO ACTUALLY RESOLVE THE PROBLEM- WERE THE PROBLEM!

They are still here today blaming the people who actually are responsible for taking the precautions that are methodically bringing us back to pre-pandemic economic conditions.

Donald Trump and a lot of his GOON SQUAD ass-kissing governors, Congressmen, and cult followers are to blame for our unnecessary economic meltdown.
All of this AFTER trump's moronic trade wars with most of our former trade partners.

Free money exacerbates the problem. How do think we got in this mess? The only way out now is to suffer through it. Fed raises interest rates, public has to be more frugal.
California has one of the best economies in the world.

Low carb is the way to go! It is a way of life for me. But even the good stuff is unaffordable. I've seen avocados for like $2.50 a piece, it goes up and down. Eggs $5 a dozen. Large jars of peanut butter for $8.89. We won't even go into the meat. Boneless chicken breasts are like gold. So is everything else.

I've never seen prices this terrible. Ever.
What the heck is going on down there? I'm not having those problems at all.

I'm still paying less than $1/lb for chicken on special. I'm still paranoid, so my freezer is full. Just took this out today.

Why is someone who is carb conscious buying gallons of soda, btw?

You might want to ask him.

no. zero covid policy in China would help with that. of course we have no say over what CCP does in China.
How is Biden supposed to control that?

trump didn't understand tariffs. With the billion$ that we paid in extra costs for his tariffs, he should have freed up money for manufacturing in this country. Especially chip manufacturing.

Instead he golfed. At least we now see the folly of increasing profits by offshoring labor. The inflation everyone is screaming about is nothing compared to the real price of goods once we manufacture here.

So what has Biden done that created inflation again?

Bank Of America Becomes Latest Financial Institution To Forecast Recession this year

Bank of America on Wednesday became the latest financial institution to predict an oncoming recession in the U.S. economy sometime later this year—joining the likes of Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and Nomura—a forecast that comes on the same day when the Labor Department released data showing inflation in the U.S. hitting another 40-year-high.

Well, we'll see. It seems like righties are giddy about inflation - but I won't call you a liar on that.

If polling is to be believed inflation is either number one, or is at the top, of concerns for Americans. So not surprising the number one concern gets talked about. If there's a war overseas you may hear about it nightly on the news but it may not dominate your thoughts on a daily basis. For many people though its hard to avoid the large increases in gas, food and shelter costs. These things are in your face every day. If you're rich you may pay less attention to it but for those on a budget or don't have F U money it's not going to stop you from living your life but it can very well alter it.

I don't disagree.

But inflation can be the #1 concern, and righties can also be giddy about it. Those 2 thoughts can both be true.

Educated voters know that there are myriad reasons for inflation right now, and none point to this POTUS.

The problem is that uninformed voters vote too.

And angry voters, which accounts for the history of mid term results.

There are countless millions right now who are just as concerned about Roe, and gun control.

Wow, you're lucky! That's a great price. Idk why someone on low carb would drink soda unless it's zero sugar. I drink Zevia sometimes.
