They are most assuredly NOT both "smart."
Clinton is extraordinarily intelligent...and a dynamic speaker who can handle almost any subject with dispatch.
Trump is disturbingly uninformed, lacking in intelligence, and uninterested in learning. He has the speaking skills of a fifth grader...if the fifth grader is not an especially good speaker. And he needs a Teleprompter for any sentence that does not contain a superlative.
