The Cost of Merrick Garland’s Silence Around the Trump Investigation

Yet it is fair to question why Mr. Garland continues to be a quiet, if not silent, public voice about the Trump investigation. “We follow the facts and the law wherever they lead,” he said at the Justice Department podium. “The best way to undermine an investigation is to say things out of court.” This is actually a debatable point.

Mr. Garland, in contrast, has largely left the stage to Mr. Trump himself. The former president has suggested that if re-elected he might pardon the hundreds of rioters that Mr. Garland’s department has prosecuted. Mr. Trump opened a recent rally with a song recorded by a group of men who were convicted for their roles on Jan. 6 as a celebratory video tribute to the insurrection played in the background

Guess garlands a coward huh?

I'm ok with Garland playing close to the vest. Trump will bray and bray no matter what happens. This way Garland also doesn't give him ammunition.

this is actually a smart move for Garland. For example, if there really is no case, he's leaving Trump to say all the stupid shit that he wants to. If there is a case, there is every reason to be quiet about it so Trump can't try to whitewash it in to a nothing burger.

Please list the Federal statute Trump is charged with breaking, instead of your silliass deflections. Three+ years of RUSSIA LIES out does anything FOX said about Dominion.

You are profoundly stupid. The whole point of the thread is that Garland has not charged Trump with anything.
