I don't know what leviticus states and this is probably a trick question but I'd say the later.

Your premise is wrong. You either don't understand Sharia Law, the US Constitution, or both. Sharia Law and the US Constitution are not compatible. Period.

It would depend on if the rules of the religion were at odds with the secular law of the land, like beating or raping children, or violating civil rights of others.

In the case at hand, of course orthodox sexist jew law should not be allowed to deny a citizen her legal property.

I also have a right to my religion. If I choose to follow a set of laws on top of those set by the more secular legislation, it is not up to you to choose that for me.

My position is:

1. We cannot let our courts use Sharia to make decisions, it is against the constitution.
2. We cannot ban Sharia Law, it is against the constitution.

If you want to "ban" Sharia Law, then you will need a constitutional Amendment. If you want to use it in our courts, you will need a constitutional amendment.

If you choose to live by these rules, so long as you are not running afoul of our legislated criminal law, then you have every right to live by that code.

How suscessful this push will be determined by how many Americans are willing to understand that the CONSTITUTION is the LAW here in the USA. As long as terrified moonbats such as yourself are willing to spread nonsense in an attempt to scare others as badly as you are scared, then a small segment of the population is going to buy your lunacy...those of us with a clear understanding of the Constitution know better.

Exactly. That has been the #1 question asked of the left since 9/11. Why does the left spend so much time, energy and resources on harassing Christians while bending over backwards to appease muslims.

How is it any more "degrading" than the same from the other perspective? Let's say a man wanted to please you orally, would you allow it or is it too demeaning for them to be doing that? Does it matter if a man is demeaned, or is it only women who matter on that score?

I can't see how pleasing somebody you love is "demeaning" anyway. But heck... If you think I demean myself I would no longer be interested in performing such a feat of pleasure...
