They're resigning because they are terrified of Trump and what he will do if they're forced to vote to remove him via the 25th Amendment.

The 25th Amendment won't happen without Pence and he probably doesn't want to be put in a position of pardoning Trump.

STFU with that 25th amendment garbage. It's 2 weeks, they can't make it happen within that amount of time, it's pointless.
What can happen is article V within 3-4 months to get the US government right.
All it takes is a lot of petitioning (not lobbying) state legislators. I do believe the state legislatures have the numbers.
As a fun fact: State legislatures used to be the ones to elect Senators. I do believe it was in the citizens' best interest for that to be the case.
