George W. Bush will seek to generate a fresh burst of enthusiasm for his brother Jeb Bush’s White House bid in South Carolina, marking the former president’s first appearance on the campaign trail this year.

George W. Bush will appear with his younger brother at a rally in North Charleston, S.C., the Jeb Bush campaign said on Thursday.

The 6 p.m. EST event will be held at the North Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.

The 69-year-old former president is highly popular in the Republican Party, particularly among South Carolina Republicans, who supported his 2000 and 2004 races for president.

Dynasties should be outlawed.

Guantanamo George should be arrested.

Jeb's Florida count antics should be re-examined.

Highly popular within his party? Really?

Whether some want to think so or not, GW is definitely "wildly popular" in certain regions throughout the US. I'm not saying what Jeb is doing is a wise political move. It isn't. I'm just disagreeing with your insinuation that GW can't be considered "wildly popular" among some republicans.

I think he is wildly popular among some Republicans, this is absolutely true!

He is clearly NOT wildly popular among Republucans as a whole. Just read this board or look at what the Republican frontrunner has to say about him!
