The Borking of Palin

So, the Tea Party candidates saved the Republicans by losing elections that Republicans should have won handily? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

And the party elites aren't really denigrating the Tea Party. Sarah Palin is not the Tea Party but she has something in common with O'Donnell, Angle and Miller. I'll let you figure out what that is.

No, the Tea Party was the only motivation for anyone voting Republican in the midterms. If it weren't for the Tea Party exuberance, Republicans would have likely lost more seats in the House and Senate. The GOP has done nothing... NADDA... ZIP... to earn the trust or the vote of the American people. Had the establishment backed O'Donnell and Miller, etc., they may have won those races. Instead, the elitist establishment turned their noses up and became bitter and full of sour grapes because their "chosen" candidate didn't win the primary. IF they chose to pull that same shit again in the 2012 presidential race, they might put Obama in for a second term. Sooner or later, these "Karl Rove" elites need to come to their senses and realize, America is speaking, and they will be heard.

borking or bonking?

Were you under the impression that was funny?

BORKING... as in, what happened to Robert Bork! That has been a go-to strategy for the liberal left, since that happened and they discovered it would work on a dumbed-down populace. Time and time again, they pick a target and start "Borking" them, determined to destroy them any way they can, in the court of public opinion. We can go through the list, if you like? Clarence Thomas, Newt Gingrich, Dan Quayle, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, Condi Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, John Bolton, John McCain, George Allen, Rudi Giuliani, Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller... now Sarah Palin.

Would have won Deleware, would have won Nevada. Considering that the Tea Party is weak in both states, the candidates there would have won had they NOT been Tea Party candidates. The people of Deleware liked and respected Mike Castle enough to elect him Senator, and the people of Nevada hate Reid's guts.

Also, how anyone can discount Alaska is beyond me. No one wins a write-in campaign. It simply does not happen, and yet people wrote-in Murkowsi and sent her back to DC.

The candidates that they selected were completely and totally delusional choices. Running O'Donnel in Delaware is like running Bernie Sanders in Alabama. We don't do it because it's not going to fucking happen. The teabaggers couldn't even win in fairly conservative states like Alaska.

If it weren't for the Tea Party exuberance, Republicans would have likely lost more seats in the House and Senate.

The teabaggers are the Republican party base. The Republican party base has always voted Republican, and the rebranded pseudo-populist Republican party base voted Republican as well. The Republicans gained 0 to negative votes due to the teabaggers.

Yeah, Dixie, if the GOP Elites are so out of touch, how come their candidate won a fucking write-in contest in the homestate of Sarah Palin?

My observations of the effect the tea party had on the last election is that it harmed the Republicans.

Case in point Deleware and Nevada... in Alaska the Republicans actually BEAT the Tea Party...

Probably because Liberals like our own Rana, knew their candidate had no chance of winning, so they voted for Murkowski to stick a dagger in Palin. That's my guess. That, and the fact that the RNC didn't do diddly-squat to help the Republican nominee, Joe Miller. That, and the fact that "Murkowski" is a long-standing name in Alaskan politics, with lots of friends in influential places. So... Perfect Storm!

It DAMN sure wasn't because the people were enamored with Establishment Republican policies!

You have to like a candidate a lot to write them in. Especially over someone else from your own party. Its not like she pulled a Lieberman and ran as an Independent.

True, but I wonder how many union people got bused in to vote, and how true the rest of the vote totals were.

Seems like they do things the "good ol boys way".

Palin has "Borked" herself pretty good, After the first week on the McCain campaign she has not seen popularity ratings above about 30%.

Joe Miller was a lying, hacking idiot, that I didn't want to represent me! I know Lisa, she is pretty moderate and I believe she will become even more so now that she owes no one but Alaskans!

Sarah Palin is having her 15 minutes and then she will be gone! Just like Coulter, just like all the flash in a pan politicians. The only reason she is still around is because of the bone headed men who think with their...she is hot, well, me personally, I don't think that qualifies you to have you fingers on the red phone! and cliches won't do it for me!

A rose by any other name...

How do you like that, Rana?!? :)

Even with the unflattering photo, Sarah still looks pretty damned hot, while Katie is just average. Too bad she has to use her looks for political persuits...
