Well, that didn't take long.

"Knowing there would be disbelievers, the U.S. says it used convincing means to confirm Osama bin Laden's identity during and after the firefight that killed him. But the mystique that surrounded the terrorist chieftain in life is persisting in death.

Was it really him? How do we know? Where are the pictures?

Already, those questions are spreading...

...Brad Sagarin, a psychologist at Northern Illinois University who studies persuasion, said the rapid disposition of the body "would certainly be a rich sort of kernel for somebody to grasp onto if they were motivated to disbelieve this."...

"as with the birther conspiracy, there's going to be a set of people who are never going to be convinced."

Area 54, Roswell, The Flat Earth Society, Evolution, The Kennedy Assassanation, Elvis Presley, Obama's Aftican Birth, WMD in Iraq, The Moon Landing....

There is a segment of our population that wants to belive in the untrue, sometimes its for a religous or political reason, but it always seems to be the same group of people. Its a group of abotu 15 to 30% who simply will belive what suits there agenda regardless of evidence.

It becomes a real problem with Democracy when one political group is able to manipulate this phenomonum into imposing the incorect idea upon a larger base of society. I dont care if you belive the Earth is flat, just dont use that belife to justify incorrect ideology. I dont want that and what it would imply to be taught to my kids in school and I dont want to live under a government that bases its decisions on the false belife.

it's area 51, not 54.

and i'm actually quite tired of the government staking their position as my caretaker, fearing that pictures of someone having their head blown apart is something my sensitive soul should be spared from seeing. the government is not my damned babysitter or guardian. enough of the secrecy shit. that's how the jfk assassination conspiracy started.

Richard Nixon - "I am not a crook".
Bill Clinton - "I did not have sex with her"
Ronald Reagan - "We did not trade arms for hostages"
Lyndon Johnson - "Our troops are not in Cambodia or Laos"
George Bush Jr - .........ok, not enough space

I'm not saying believe everything, I'm saying look at the evidence! There was evidence to support the things you mentioned. Many believe crazy things regardless of the evidence.

Remember all the folks who confidently stated that Obama was already dead, buried under rubble, killed in Tora Bora, was on the run, cowering a a deep dark cave, etc.?

Now we find out he was living in a house in Pakistan very close to 3 army facilities.

Shows you how right some people can be.

typo? or wishful thinking?

I don't know..."deather" just doesn't have any pizzazz ya know?

I was thinking something more along the lines of "bodybagger"...eh?

It's alliterative and rolls off the tongue nicely. Plus a number of teabaggers are birthers...it just makes sense that they'd have some "bodybaggers" in their ranks also.
