The Big Winners In Stimulus Compromise: The Upper-Middle Class

A group most helped by AMT are small business's. Small business's are the bread and butter of job creation in this country.

Obviously you don't quite know what the alternative minimum tax is.

If you make more than $150,000 and your tax is very low (because of exemptions and deductions), then you must pay certain minimum tax.

Most small business owners want reform and an appeal of the AMT.

I wouldn't leave the house for that kind of chump change.

That is the beauty of it I seldom leave the house.

I reinvest and put the money in my employees to keep my profit down for tax purposes. And to help my employees which is my main reason for having the business. I personally do not have to have any income.

Yes, I'm sure that helping your employees is the sole reason that you bother to get out of bed. Why not just admit that your real goal is the income that you defer until you retire? You must be unpatriotic to have such a diabolical plan to avoid taxes.

C'mon .. didn't you smell the bullshit.

80k as "chump change" :)

Guaranteed that anyone who sees 80k as chump change ain't spending much time on a message board.

I am somewhat disabled and do not leave the house much for anything. Maybe 2 trips out a week.

I have enough secured money and heavy metal to keep me going the rest of my life.
I like the way the price of gold has gone lately.

My personal needs are small and I am content. I have set up the grandchildren for college. What more could I actually need?

So you now admit that helping your family, not your employees, is the first priority. You sound like a selfish Republican now.

And how did you get that from my post? I set up the Grandchildren with college trusts before I got my business. Very conservative trusts too. They have done ok during the stock market spiral down process.
I saw this coming.

I am pretty much a true fiscal conservative.
But believe in helping the needy.
No party actually fits me very well.
I don't know of any fiscal conservative who don't want to help the truly needy. They just have a different approach then Democrats, an approach that strives to elevates them out of the undesirable situation instead of locking them into it.

we will always have the poor and the ones unable to support themselves for one reason or another.

And everyone cannot have an above average income.

I guess you want to pay the person serving you fast food $15/hr?
Someone has to do those kinds of jobs.
And yes my family does come first, but my employees are a close second.
