The Big, Beautiful Bombs Were A Bust

I would say that Marty’s thread is a bust.
You would say that? Why? You have the same info we do and the mess is due to Trumps lack of nuance.
Mossad has spies everywhere in Iran, pointless telling Nutberg that though he's lives in his own little world.
True, you do not inhabit the real world, but the crazy conspiracy world of the right. They do not have spies everywhere. You have the same problem Trump and the right does. Hyperbole guarantees inaccuracy and makes the statement into a lie. I expect more from a president, but I also know Trump is a mental mess. He cannot talk as a reasonable adult. You Trumpys are the same.

I agree that Scheerpost is generally left wing, but not always. Patrick Lawrence is a good example of the "not always" bit. When Trump came into power on his second term, he was much more positive about him. That's clearly changed at this point. Anyway, as to mediabiasfactcheck, I've found them to be only marginally credible. I actually started a thread about them over at AbovePlainPolitics getting into why. It can be seen here:
Oddly, that's also a common complaint by all JPP political extremists. They only agree with factual sources when those sources are favorable to their own political views.

The most common example is MAGAts bitching about Wikipedia then flip-flopping and using Wiki as a resource to back their own views.

Poor Marty, your thread did not age well.

I now realize I really should have actually -listened- to the 2 minute video clip you put up from CBS News. I'm quite surprised that CBS was so sloppy. The Iranian Supreme leader did -not- that "strikes caused "serious" damage at nuclear sites", despite that being part of the title of the clip. At the beginning of the clip, the reporter says that it was Iran's Foreign Minister who had mentioned that and then goes on to say that the Supreme Leader actually downplayed the damage done to its nuclear facilities. Quoting from the clip, starting at 38 seconds in:
**
WHAT WE'VE SEEN IS THAT IT SEEMS TO
HAVE TRIGGERED A RARE SURGE IN
NATIONAL UNITY AMONGST IRANIANS
WHO ARE SO OFTEN DEEPLY DIVIDED
OVER HOW THEIR NATION IS RUN.
NOW, IT COMES AT A TIME WHERE
THE COUNTRY'S SUPREME LEADER
HAS DOWNPLAYED ANY DAMAGE CAUSED
TO ITS NUCLEAR FACILITIES

I think it should go without saying that anyone would be skeptical of a source of information that conflicts with what they believe to be true, but I think we can agree that the important thing is whether or not Wikipedia or mediabiasfactcheck is correct in any given instance. Saying that a web site is a "factual source" is pretty vague. As the old saying go, even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. The article you brought up from mediabiasfactcheck seemed high on opinions and low on evidence. And most important, the issue shouldn't be where Scheerpost is on the political spectrum but rather, whether Patrick Lawrence was right in his assessment in the article I linked to.

What are those sources that you consider to be reliable? Besides consortiumnews.com, of course.

It is, for some people. If you take the time to read them,

I did take the time to read them, and the amounted to "NUHN UHN."

you may learn interesting things, but I know that there are many who, upon seeing a paragraph or 2, like saying TLDR. That stands for "Too Long, Didn't Read" in case you're wondering.

I just wished it had a concept beyond "NUHN UHN."

Oh and BTW, Tomahawk cruise missiles were not used. Missiles were not used at all. Bunker Buster Bombs were dropped from B2 Aircraft. You might consider a more accurate source for information in the future.

{1. The US launched a large Tomahawk missile strike on the surface components of the sites.}

Nope, that is not at all what happened.

The planes did a lot of damage, far short of obliteration.
The target was destroyed, Sybil.
You will never get it.
No, that's you. You can't blame your problems on anybody else, Sybil. The target was destroyed.
Trump's blatant hyperbole
What hyperbole???? The target was destroyed.
is making what the attack did, into a lie.
What lie??? The target was destoyed.
Can you imagine how different it would be now if Trump said, "We did a lot of damage to some of Iran's nuke installations? But he cannot do that. Its true success will be determined in the future.
The target was destroyed, Sybil.

What 'mess'???
True, you do not inhabit the real world, but the crazy conspiracy world of the right.
The Democrat party is a conspiracy. They are not 'the right'.
They do not have spies everywhere.
Don't need 'em anyway. Satellites have confirmed the damage, along with military observations from those over the target area.

But you prefer the word salads that come out of Kamala.

There is no such thing as 'fact checking', Sybil. A fact is not a 'Universal Truth'. Go learn what 'fact' means.

The target was destroyed, Sybil.

Random words. No apparent coherency.

I would say that Marty’s thread is a bust.

Marty's only a parrot.

They don't actually read any news stories, which is why their threads are so outright silly and ridiculous.

Now they're hoping some Iranian snipers got over the borders under Biden and are even now getting ready to murder Trump. It's their last best hope. Many of them are getting ore and more hysterical and contemplating suicide over Israel's surviving. They were so looking forward to massive genocide and destruction both there and in the U.S., but Biden fucked it all up.

Scheerpost.com would be another. In fact, I first saw the article from Patrick Lawrence on Scheerpost, but followed it back to the place it was originally published. Scheerpost was started by Robert Scheer. If you haven't heard of him, here's Wikipedia's intro on him:
**
Robert Scheer (born April 4, 1936) is an American left-wing journalist who has written for Ramparts, the Los Angeles Times, Playboy, Hustler Magazine, Truthdig, ScheerPost and other publications as well as having written many books. His column for Truthdig was nationally syndicated by Creators Syndicate in publications such as The Huffington Post and The Nation. He is a clinical professor of communications at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. Scheer is the former editor in-chief for the Webby Award-winning online magazine Truthdig. For many years, he co-hosted the nationally syndicated political analysis radio program Left, Right & Center on National Public Radio (NPR), produced at public radio station KCRW in Santa Monica. The Society of Professional Journalists awarded Scheer the 2011 Sigma Delta Chi Award for his column.

Speaking of illustrious individuals who played key roles in online publications, Robert Parry is another example. He was the editor of Consortium News from 1995 until his death in 2018. Here's Parry's intro on Wikipedia:
**
Robert Earle Parry (June 24, 1949 – January 27, 2018) was an American investigative journalist. He was known for his role in covering the Iran–Contra affair for the Associated Press (AP) and Newsweek, including breaking the Psychological Operations in Guerrilla Warfare (CIA manual provided to the Nicaraguan contras) and the CIA involvement in Contra cocaine trafficking in the U.S. scandal in 1985.

He was awarded the George Polk Award for National Reporting in 1984 and the I.F. Stone Medal for Journalistic Independence by Harvard's Nieman Foundation in 2015. Parry was the editor of Consortium News (consortiumnews.com) from 1995 until his death in 2018.

I also follow a fair amount of substackers that I've come to trust. Some I found out about by posters from online forums such as this one.

Off Guardian would be popular with many JPP MAGAts.

Analysis / Bias

In review, OffGuardian reports news with a pro-Russian bias. Many articles are very critical of Ukraine, such as this Ukraine admitted to interfering in the 2016 US election on Clinton’s side. This story does not offer hyperlinked sourcing but rather translations of documents. OffGuardian also frequently promotes conspiracy theories regarding GMOs such as Post-Brexit Farming, Glyphosate, and GMOs. Although this story utilizes some credible sources, it also cites Mercola, a website promoting quackery-level pseudoscience. They also promote 9/11 conspiracies such as The Fakest Fake News: The U.S. Government’s 9/11 Conspiracy Theory. They frequently cover False Flags and the US Deep State conspiracy as well as anti-vaccination propaganda.

In an article by Ukrainian fact-checkers, Stop Fake, they write about the OffGuardian as “Russian trolls exiled from Guardian find home for their hate.” Politically, there is a wide range of opinions expressed, with many falling on the pro-socialist side: Anti-Capitalism is NOT Anti-Semitism. Finally, during the Covid-19 pandemic, they have routinely published false information, as seen below in failed fact checks.

Israel: Strikes Set Back Nuke Program Many Years

The far left loons are sad.
You really never get tired about being a lying moron, do you? No one is "sad". We just all knew that Trump was full of shit. How embarrassing for you.
