They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different.
They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead end,” Clinton said. “Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.”

The response from Trump's campaign came swiftly from campaign manager Kellyanne Conway who accused Clinton of "slandering" Trump's supporters.

In a statement from the campaign later, spokesman Jason Miller called the statement "deplorable."

“Just when Hillary Clinton said she was going to start running a positive campaign, she ripped off her mask and revealed her true contempt for everyday Americans," Miller said. "Tonight’s comments were more than another example of Clinton lying to the country about her emails, jeopardizing our national security, or even calling citizens ‘super-predators’ this was Clinton, as a defender of Washington’s rigged system – telling the American public that she could care less about them."

"And what’s truly deplorable isn’t just that Hillary Clinton made an inexcusable mistake in front of wealthy donors and reporters happened to be around to catch it, it’s that Clinton revealed just how little she thinks of the hard-working men and women of America," he added.

Well, if Hillary Clinton wins the 2016 presidential election, her campaign is already promising a “reset” on US–Syria policy, where the military has already been dropping bombs for more than a year. Her “reset” policy, described by an adviser in the media last week, sounds an awful lot like she will be starting a war against the Assad regime, in addition to a wider bombing campaign against Isis she has already promised should she get into office

Too bad Darla doesn't post here anymore. She used to speak about how sexist the Bernie Bro's were. There were millions of Bernie Bro's supporters. So I guess Hillary has her own basket of deplorables supporting her.

The only thing you were right about is there being no comparison. Romney's comment was stupid because many of those 47% voted for him, he needed more, was attempting to appeal to them despite his comment and he could have gotten more. Also, while only 47% paid income tax 73% paid a payroll or income tax and most of the rest will or have paid income/payroll taxes, they just did not in the given year.

It's also rather offensive to those who paid no income taxes, many of whom were serving in combat zones, had been injured in one or are retired.
