The AR-15 Has No Business Being in the Hands of Civilians

I wholeheartedly agree, it's not a hunting rifle either?!!

As the nation absorbs the horror of yet another massacre of schoolchildren, questions about the police’s response to the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, have become paramount. According to still conflicting reports, police became aware of an active shooter within Robb Elementary School but did not enter the building and engage the attacker for more than 70 minutes. In that span, the gunman was able to kill 19 children and two teachers with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle.

Since the shooting, officials have faced withering criticism over the series of details that they have released about the shooting, only to later say that information was incorrect. Authorities initially said the gunman exchanged fire with a school police officer outside, only to later say this never happened; they also said the shooter was wearing body armor but reversed course on that count as well….

Police have also been pilloried for not pursuing the gunman more quickly while he was inside with children calling 911, pleading for help. McCraw said the school district’s police chief, Pedro “Pete” Arredondo, had determined the gunman had “transitioned from an active shooter to a barricaded subject,” so there was a delay of more than an hour before officials stormed the classroom. “It was the wrong decision,” McCraw said.

The image of police officers refusing to enter the building while tear-gassing and handcuffing parents who were trying to get in has left an indelible mark on the national psyche. Heightening the tension, both the Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force are now refusing to cooperate with investigators.

This is a wielder problem, not the wielded, kunny kartoons. Your stupid shit has had zero impact, and it's been this way since your beginnings. How does it feel to know that you've been a feckless tool all these years?

Eat a bag of dicks, you commie faggot. For if you come for the AR 15s, which lack of didn't stop Columbine from happening, you'll be coming for my guns next.

Here's the thing: We know that's your commie faggot goal, and nobody's giving an inch. If you push it, it can lead to war.

No more business than anthrax or land mines.

I don't want you or anyone else to be able to buy one either!!!

Well you can go fuck yourself with a cactus! What makes you think you have authority over other people in America, motherfucker?

Here's a clue for you: You fucking do not. Want in one hand, shit in the other and see which one fills up 1st, then fuck the hell off with your bullshit.

Biden gave the Taliban thousands of nice, American weapons. I want some of those!

Your OP is further proof the left cannot meme. How the fuck were Communist shitbirds like you even produced in America?

Nobody wanted that. Well, apparently somebody did, but it wasn't us.

Nobody I knew growing up would be in line with your commie bullshit. I doubt more than 2 out of my graduating class would be, and they'd be doing it to just be different. Wtf is wrong with you?

I hunt with my AR . It is the perfect gun for the need I have. Why should we take ARs from law abiding citizens? If we stop people from buying ARs what will stop them from doing the same thing with a semi auto hand gun. We need to harden the target. Crazy people will always be with us. Suicidal disaffected people will always try mass murder. We need to protect the kids and not ban ARs which will not fix the problem. Hardening the target does not interfere with anyone's constitutional rights. We can start hardening the targets today. If we can stop or slow shooter's access to the kids it will allow time for law enforcement to do their job.

Exactly its the guns. We need to get those and the bullets off our streets.

Whereas I think we need to do a better job of identifying the criminals and crazies in society and keep them either locked up or on a very short leash.

We're taking the AR's gun-boy.

The bodies of those babies in Uvalde last week were so blown to bits no one could recognize their little bodies.

Can you imagine being a doctor or first responder and have to look around a room for missing parts of a child's body?

How fucking dead does that poor deer have to be?
