the AR-15 follies: Here we go again!

You're like a drunk parrot squawking th same line over and over and over.....but this new stupidity of yours takes the cake! "... an AR-15 isn't an "assault rifle". It's just a scary-looking semi-automatic magazine-fed rifle..." Yeah, tell that to the families of all it's innocent victims from the last 2 decades. They'll have some choice words for you, if not a good old fashion ass whupp'in!

I tire of addressing the SOS from gunners and NRA bullhorns. Heres a good take on the issue that gives both sides, but the reality of the weapons chosen and their effectiveness wins out over clap trap like yours. http://www.indexjournal.com/news/mo...cle_bdae1a2f-9516-5348-96b9-bde0abc8e2dc.html

Oh, and FYI, wheher full or semi-auto, these weapons are also categorized as "rifles". So much for your little photo's significance to the discussion.

I laughed at that out loud, literally out loud. I'm sure you didn't intend for that to be funny but it was.

diagnosed crazy people shouldn't be in public............wouldn't that make better sense?

do we? if they are undiagnosed, how do we know they're crazy?

Well, teabaggers (www.teaparty.org) not only don't mind letting crazy people in public, they let them have guns to.

"Undiagnosed"? 'How do we know"?

Have you actually read some comments on JPP?

Some shouldn't be in possession of a sling shot, let alone a firearm.

Beto did it to loud applause and support. Hillary supported Australian-style gun control with mandatory buyback AKA confiscation. The fact Democats haven't been able to do it doesn't mean they don't want to do it.

As for the definition, it's easy to see why you hid the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_weapon#History_of_terminology
One of the earliest uses of the term, or a similar term, in its current meaning was in a bill introduced by Art Agnos in the California State Assembly in April 1985 to ban semi-automatic "assault firearms" capable of using detachable magazines of 20 rounds or more.[21][22] Speaking to the Assembly Public Safety Committee, Agnos said, "The only use for assault weapons is to shoot people."[21] The measure did not pass when it came up for a vote.[22]

In 2013, The Washington Post, looking into the history of the term, wrote of the term: "Many attribute its popularization to a 1988 paper written by gun-control activist and Violence Policy Center founder Josh Sugarmann and the later reaction to the Cleveland School massacre in Stockton, California, in January 1989."

Yes, both did and a lot of others did as well.............................For ASSAULT WEAPONS.

So, banning all guns is what they're really after?

Good luck with that, you seem to think, like most teabaggers (www.teaparty.org) Democrats don't own guns.

I guess restricting the use of a tommy gun was a gun grab too.

A design that's been around since 1885. Why have these "incidents" just start happening in the "last 2 decades"? Why haven't they happened in the previous 115 years? You have an answer to that?

Of course the NRA scares you, we are the ones who promote and train for the safe and responsible ownership of firearms. Why do you blame us for your failed upbringing or "educational" indoctrination of your kids?

Yep, those bolt actions are also categorized as "rifles." Myself, I'd prefer the 03-A3, but I sold mine years ago. I have a couple M1 Garands and an M1-A, they shoot almost as good. A few of my other bolt actions shoot better, though.

I think the "libs" should go back to asking themselves why these things are happening but they won't because they're the reason it's happening.

Exactly. And the media putting it on TV 24/7 hyping up the "evil" sporting rifle as the reason. Do those stupid fucks remember when you could buy a semi-auto military surplus rifle from the local hardware store or order a rifle from the Sears catalog? Why weren't these "mass shootings" happening back then? The "educational indoctrination" of kids today is a big part of the answer.

Because back then when you had a problem you took it up with the guy you had a problem with. Now they they want to shoot up the school and the libs don't know why that is.

I know why.

:palm: Get off your mental fat ass and go read the first AWB 1994. It states in no uncertain terms that all weapons purchased prior to enactment of the law are exempt from the ban, and thereby kept legal by the owners. Capice? No sale of such weapons on the list were legal after enactment of the law, as with purchases.

So, if I buy or sell privately it becomes illegal?

Yep, and we didn't go running to the cops because we got our ass kicked.
We either learned to fight, or didn't start shit and kept our mouth shut.
Unlike Private PUSSY, who's obviously had his jaw rearranged numerous
times because he can't keep his mouth shut (and who knows how many
times he's squealed on someone), most of us learned to shut up after a
good shellacking. Hell, he even cries to the mods here because he's a PUSSY

You do know the person you just responded to has posted quite the opposite in the past?

Of course you do. I just wish we'd get to the killing soon.

Yeah, I responded to an idiot.

Yep, and before I get too old and have to re-focus my telescopic sights and need a bi-pod for steadiness.

One step at a time, amirite? LOL

If banning high capacity magazines is a good idea, don't you believe banning magazines over 5 rounds is a better idea?

If Obama's 2013 Gun Control Bill had passed, do you think that would be sufficient to solve all the "gun problems" in the US or do you think it's a stepping stone in the "right" direction?

maybe if people like you had voted for trump it wouldn't be a issue

If insane old geezers like you didn't vote for pedo draft-dodging cowards like Trump We, the People would be having a real Republican win reelection instead of handing the entire fucking government over to the Democrats.

Do you understand "Screwed the Pooch", bob? FUBAR'd the election? Major Fuckup? Major Disaster? The fact the Republicans allowed a person of Trump's low character and high degree of avarice into the party was the death knell for the Republican party and the reason why the fucking Democrats now hold the White House, the Senate and the House.

Fuck all you assholes who did this to our country.

gee I helped put space craft into space. now stop your whining about gun control when your type failed to vote vote for people who would not allow it and helped put a nazi like blow hole biden in office due to your stupidity and are now crying about it

gee I helped put space craft into space.

LOL Yes, I remember:

Awesome argument for stripping Americans of their rights, dude.
No doubt your parents will be pissed.

Were they Reagan Yuppies and that's why you rebel?

How are your right to a arm yourself being stripped when you have a PLETHORA of weapons to choose from that (by gunners own assertions) are just as good if no t better than the AR-15?

for the intellectually honest, here's the other part of my previous response that was conveniently left out; ".... but this new stupidity of yours takes the cake!
