AN ALT RIGHT CARTOON FROM 4CHAN

This cartoon looks like something from Der Stürmer.

What's to learn? Immigrants came here, they became assimilated into our culture [instead of trying to change it] adopted our language and became Americans.

The melting pot shouldn't be confused with multiculturalism.

Yet those immigrants are still keeping their culture alive and well via various groups and organizations.

I've never been to Pittsburgh and am not real familiar with the City so I did a simple google search on it. City seems to be largely white and black with very little Asian and Hispanic population.

Pitt report: Racial disparities persist in Pittsburgh region

Among the report's findings:

• The seven-county metro Pittsburgh is the whitest area of its size in the country at 87 percent;

A typical white student in the Pittsburgh area goes to a school where 90 percent of students are white and not poor; a typical black student attends a school that is half black, with most classmates poor;

If I'm reading this correctly it seems like the Pittsburgh suburbs are pretty white and segregated.

Isnt that the norm and not the exception?

Blacks, whites, Hispanics etc tend to self segregate. To liberals this is a neccessarily bad thing but the reality is its just human nature.

White liberals make fun of me for being from WV but I'll wager they have just as many black neighbors as I do lol.

BLM are not black nationalist. So nice try.

On the other hand I have recently been introduced to Dr. Umar Johnson and his lectures. While he correctly identifies several issues that face black people, his basic solution is separatism. Dr. Johnson is a proponent of black economic independence and black people creating Afrocentric educational curricula which are not negatives by themselves. But complete separation along racial lines exacerbates problems just as much as it alleviates them. Dr. Johnson and his supporters advocate self-sufficiency in the policing of black neighborhoods in response to police brutality. Presumably this would decrease police brutality among those African-American communities. But funding such a law enforcement group would probably strain a community’s resources.

Note that this socialist writer checks off on all the proper boxes, Mott. He agrees with BLM that blacks are oppressed by the Protestant white male patriarchy.

In other words, this is a BLM friendly writer---if not an outright BLM advocate. And he is critical of BLM separatism---which is the bad sort of nationalism, as opposed to mere patriotism or advocating for secure borders.

Note how misguided the BLM solution for the problem is. They really think if they just had an all black police Corp patrolling the troubled precincts there would be less cop-on-black shootings.

They really think that, Mott.

Man, ol' Darth is really on a roll about BLM.

It's good to get the completely disconnected white guy's perspective on it, though.

This is you're typical non-response to one of my posts lol.

I purposely cited a liberal thinker. A pretty hardcore one at that. And the liberal writer is critical of BLM's black separatism, even as he accepts all of their assumptions.

It's not me you need to answer---it's him.

And how about we stipulate that separatism is always wrong no matter who advocates it.

If a "liberal" guy things that BLM is "separatism," he's just as tone deaf as you are. I don't care that he's liberal.

And Trump is one of the biggest advocates of separatism out there right now. But you support him.

You're confused and/or you can't think straight when it comes to Trump.

The liberal guy was answering a BLM leader. Are we supposed to pretend Dr. Johnson didn't really say that blacks should have their own economic system and black educational curriculum?

Maybe it would help if you pretended Trump said whites should have separate educational curricula than blacks.

very true. The goal should always be E Pluribus Unum

I think it's about economics more than self segregation. People generally live in the best neighborhood they can afford.

Christie was speaking out against neighborhoods dominated by one race and it turns out she lives in one of the most one race dominated areas in the country.

You and I have coastal differences on what makes up ethnic communities. Here we have the Italian neighborhoods, German neighborhoods, Polish neighborhoods, Lithuanian neighborhoods, Jewish neighborhoods, middle European neighborhoods in addition to the black and Hispanic neighborhoods. These are within the city of Pittsburgh.

Our Asian population is very small. And if you're talking about the 'burbs I would say they are predominantly white but aren't counted as part of the City demographics.
