The U-6 unemployment rate is the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) broadest unemployment measure, including short-term discouraged and other marginally-attached workers as well as those forced to work part-time because they cannot find full-time employment.

The trend is firmly down notwithstanding the Euro going down the toilet, you know as well as me that unemployment is a lagging indicator. Frankly I'm amazed that it didn't reach the high teens considering the financial collapse of the last few years.

Are you friggin serious? The graph show most of the growth in unemployment occuring under bush, with a slight continuing rise in the first half of '09, then trending downward since.
