Now tell me that an unborn human child in the womb does not have a unique and individual HUMAN DNA signature than either parent at the very moment that a female egg is fertilized. Its human life from the moment it is fertilized and begins using energy and growing. Science confirms this. If that scientific definition of life is not human......what is it, a dog, a cat? But if you insist upon religious grounds that declare ABORTION a sin against humanity......simply read from the Document that establishes Judea/Christian philosophy.

And? If the correct case comes forward nothing is settled........what came into existence via the sound of a gavel can be overturned via the same method. Why is it not actually SETTLED LAW? Because Abortion on demand prior to Roe v. Wade was never represented legislated law.....SCOUTS made law from the bench. Even if Roe v. Wade is revisited and overturned all that will happen would be what the constitution demands........it will become a state issue as each state will legislate how its citizens choose. Abortion on demand will no longer be a federal issue.

Judges can't make law from the bench. Simply show us the word abortion addressed anywhere in the constitution. There is no such wording that exists. According to the 10th amendment all words not found to exist in the constitution belong to the states........not SCOTUS. SCOTUS has no constitutional authority to ad or omit constitutional language (OPINE something not there).......when you ad words or omit words you are AMENDING the constitution and that right also belongs to the PEOPLE/STATES through representation. :bigthink:

The court has become highly politicized. Overturning Roe has been THE goal of religious conservatives for years.

1. Belief in "life from the moment of conception" is relatively new in Christianity. Prior to the invention of the microscope and the discovery of sperm and egg cells, nobody quite knew exactly how or when a fetus began. In the Middle Ages, the Church had something called the "forty-day rule" for abortions. If you had sex and knew you might have a fetus, but if there was no movement in your belly yet, the Church allowed you to get an abortion and it was considered only a venial sin. The Church even ran abortion clinics, if you can believe it.

2. You want to talk about science? Ok. Well, nature is constantly aborting fetuses. In mammals, it's quite normal for a sperm to fertilize an egg, only for the body to reject it days later. This happens in humans all the time. Since you believe in God, then you must accept that God is the biggest abortionist off all time.

3. Funny you should bring up DNA. Are you aware of biological chimeras? You can read about them on Wikipedia. It's when two or more zygotes fuse back into one zygote. The result is an animal with two or more distinct sets of genes, blood cells of different blood types, etc. This was discovered in humans when paternity tests became popular.

So how can you reconcile these facts with your religious beliefs? Some humans started out as multiple zygotes that fused into one zygote. If "life begins at conception," and if a soul is infused at the moment of conception, then do all chimeras have multiple souls? Every day, women's bodies abort fertilized eggs. Wouldn't that be murder?

Might want to reconsider your beliefs.
