I understand it is 'comical' to you to talk about the stock price. The point was that they are struggling, yet Obama wants to champion their 'success'. Even you jumped on that bandwagon to highlight their 'better than expected quarterly profit'. Thus, it is relevant to discuss what is actually occurring. You keep wanting to shift to the 'well it could have been worse' line. I know it could have been worse than it is. Which is why I stated it was a necessary evil. That said, my point is that it hasn't been as good as the Obama admin and its lemmings (like you) are proclaiming.

We are doing far better than during any period where there were Tariff battles going on. Trade wars are not good, and are particularly bad on the middle and lower classes. They are not a "solution" and cause far more harm than good, history has already proven this.
 
Seriously though Damo, we are just destined to at best have a stagnant level of living stardard for the next couple of decades. Although I expect it to continue to slowly decline.
We just have to get used to living with less. Which can be a good thing in the long run, but not pleasant.

and healthcare costs will eat our lunch as well at it's recent levels of growth.
The only soloution I see for that or the least bad one is to have a single payor govt health care ins system.

I agreed that your comments were correct, I was trying to discuss the situation further and you want to stick with 'all I was saying was that Treasury said something, I posted that not wanting to actually discuss their comments but just wanted to let you know that they said something'.
