Dyam! It was painful watching Trump read off his script and try to phonetically pronounce the names of the five new citizens.
 
Melania's speech was good but faaaarrrr to long. It was like two speeches spliced together. It was clear to me when Melania was speaking passionately about something such as her desire to help children (she looks straight into the camera) and when she was just reciting the election bullshit "they" wanted her to say (when she's reading off the teleprompter).

It was live and to an audience. The audience, full of top officials including Trump, were "spaced" apart for show, only about three feet but on C-SPAN it showed them getting up and clustering together to shake hands and talk. No masks in sight, of course.

I liked her and her sincerity when speaking about helping children and making peace. Clearly there was Republican crap there that she was pushed into saying.

Did you see them kiss at the end? It was like a beautiful woman kissing a stinky old politician.
 
Daniel Cameron spoke at the RNC, saying he (a black man) is not in chains. He feels free and empowered.

The plainclothes police who wrongly murdered Breonna Taylor are also free and empowered. No charges have been made. They are still on duty. No reprimand, no reassignment, no nothing. They screwed up and killed an innocent person. Broke into her home and shot her to death. It was a costly mistake that never should have happened.

Daniel Cameron is the AG for the State of Kentucky. The decision to charge the officers involved in the wrongful death is his to make.

So far, nothing.

Instead of working on the case, he is at the RNC giving speeches about how free he feels and why America should support the racist president who said white nationalists are 'very fine people.'

I guess as long as you're not in chains then that represents progress to be satisfied with? Doesn't matter if a whole races is repressed, discriminated against or singled out for extra police scrutiny and stronger incarceration. As long as they are not in chains, all of that is OK.
