Other nations all know now that all you have to do is give Trump a press release allowing him to say he won and he will then give you a deal that is actually worse for America. We have seen that multiple times now.

They have a long historical split of being opposed to one another.
China over decades has sought to get more involved with the West and to gain influence which lead them to keep Russia more at arms length.
it really goes back to Trump 1 term when he basically labelled China the enemy that China really started to try and create its own sphere of influence it could lead as opposed to trying to push in to the existing structure and order.
As a last resort.....the imperial Empire would prefer that the black and brown people submit to the Empire and work for the Empire.
