Thanks, George!

Well...maybe not. How can you thank someone who has singlehandedly set back race relations fifty years?

According to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, a slight majority of 52 percent of Americans said race relations in the country are either "very good" or "fairly good," a huge dip from the stretch between 2009 and 2011. In NBC/WSJ polls conducted during that period, more than 70 percent described race relations in such positive terms.

Wednesday's poll also found that a majority of blacks — 54 percent — "strongly disagree" that "America is a nation where people are not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." That marks a huge increase from polls conducted in 2009 and 2010, when only around 30 percent of blacks had such a pessimistic view toward Martin Luther King's "dream" for the country.

A mere 19 percent of blacks said they "strongly agree" or "somewhat agree" with the statement, according to the latest NBC/WSJ poll. Meanwhile, only 16 percent of whites said they "strongly disagree" with the statement, while a majority of 59 percent said they either "strongly agree" or "somewhat agree."

You are the undisputed Queen of Hyperbole and Bullshit. I would have a bit more respect for you if you acknowledged the effect that the OJ trial had on race relations.

What does the OJ case have to do with this? Other than the fact that both were guilty as hell and got away with murder, absolutely nothing.

I bet you never said he was guilty at the time though and you still haven't said what effect it had on race relations.

Aha...another mind reader!

The OJ trial was 19 years ago. He was an adored nationally known athlete and actor and Heisman winner with a beautiful wife who happened to be black. That had more to do with his acquittal than anything else.

blaming the backslide of race relations solely on zimmerman is nearly the height of stupidity, especially considering that the ONLY racial emphasis placed on the incident was done by the media and its slavish liberal followers.

More bullshit and evasion, you said the Zimmerman trial put race relations back fifty years. Oh and you still haven't said whether you believed he was guilty at the time or were you down with your homies in the hood?

Didn't I say he got away with murder?

As far as I know, OJ's case did not impact race relations in this country. Do you have data indicating elsewise?

I think at least it the short-term the Z case might have. Time will tell if it had a lasting impact.

There may have been other things since 2010/2011 that impacted them; you are correct there. But probably right now the Z case is having an impact of some kind.

Are you talking about OJ's first wife? She was rarely, if ever, mentioned during the trial. How did that play a role in his acquittal?
