The ratpublicans had plant of chances to work with the Dems during the creation of Obamacare but they refused.

Now the ratpublicans want to gut and destroy Obamacare then replace it with some piece if shit plan that takes us back to where we were before. Why should the Dems take part in that? The ratpukes have no interest in fixing or improving Obamacare. They only want to destroy it because it has Obama's name in it.

People used to be fired from jobs if they developed a condition that skewed the group insurance plan's claims to the point where pricing would go up.

How soon people forget how great it used to be.

Of course, the vast majority in this nation have EBI policies, so they know nothing of what insurance really costs.

The people I know - people who have had cancer, people with epilepsy, would basically be excluded from private insurance or priced out of the market under the system Republicans worshipped and defended, aka pre-Obamacare private insurance.

And not one single message board Republican I have ever had the displeasure of running across has ever been able to make a moral case for returning to the pre-Obamacare days and excluding people with preexisting conditions from having affordable insurance.

They make the case, but it's always 'I got mine'.

Most do not know the actual cost of insurance. Couple that with the fact that before ACA, many companies were slowly opting for lesser quality plans, and transferring the burden of the premiums onto the employees.

When ACA was passed, many companies simply dumped the lion's share of cost onto the employees, and blamed ACA.

People don't know exactly what the issues are in this discussion, because they really don't want to know.

And corporate profits continue to climb, as we argue minutia.

Those unwilling to provide for their families what they should be providing to them (food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, etc.) do far more to damage their own families than someone expecting them to do what they should be doing.

My expectation of that for people is justified. Since I do it for mine, expecting others to do the same isn't expecting anything more than what I've shown I'll do. It's not like I'm not doing it then expecting them to do what I'm not doing. What's wrong with that?
