I didn’t support going into Iraq.

I supported busting up the terrorist camps in Afghanistan, but didn’t support occupying Afghanistan. I did not support nation building. I did support humanitarian aid.

You need only compare the cost of keeping bases in Germany and East Asia with keeping Bagram open to realise how stupid it was to leave. I am certain that a few years down the line, probably after a major atrocity, there will people demanding that AQ be eliminated yet again.

And I was called a terrorist sympathizer for opposing invading Iraq, and for opposing keeping troops in Afghanistan. As far as I'm concerned, those people don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to critiquing how we ended the wars they had pom poms out for.

Afghanistan is nothing like those countries - and wasn't anything like those countries even before we left.

Much more unstable, much more dangerous. I'll ask you the same I asked T.A.: would you travel to Afghanistan, and spend time there?

I opposed invading Iraq as well, it ultimately served little purpose and allowed Iran to gain the upper hand in the Middle East.

I was called all kinds of names and protested in the freezing cold in Anchorage. Bush supporters drove by us and threw water on an 80 year old woman. I was called names on this forum, and told by a family member that I was in LaLa Land, but I just knew I was right.

The U.S. isn't the world's policeman. There is no justification for keeping American soldiers in harm's way, in an unstable nation, indefinitely.

It is NOT Japan or Germany. That's a preposterous argument. People travel to both of those countries - they take vacations in each, and sightsee.

Another little gem from trump's bag of tricks was to take credit for 'lowest black unemployment' in history.

Said unemployment rate went from app. 16.5% to app. 7.5% under Obama. And then app. 7.5% to app. 5.5% at its lowest under trump (before going up just before the trump virus ravaged the economy).

But trump was responsible for record low black unemployment.

So what about Korea and Guam? They would likely be targets if a war with China kicks off. Seems to me what you're saying is that you should never send the military anywhere they can't do Xmas shopping like in Germany.

Korea and Guam are NOT dangerous countries, at all.

I don't believe in putting American soldiers in harm's way unless there is a direct threat to the homeland. I will always feel that way.
