Thai court jails man for 28 years over monarchy comments

If you go to somewhere like Chiangmai, it's full of American digital nomads. Of course ignorant fuckwits like Salty know nothing about that.

You see, I can imagine living and working outside the USA. I have done it before. What I can not imagine is being as afraid as you claim your "friends" are of returning to the USA. For instance, I worked in Brisbane for a year, and had no problem traveling back to the USA during that time.

You're such a bullshitter, Salty.

Why would someone be afraid of entering the USA? The only possible reason I can think of is a prison sentence hanging over them.

I can understand living outside the USA, but I cannot understand refusing to even visit the USA "for all the tea in China." (Havana Moon's words).

Because they detest the US lifestyle and culture. If you really spent a year in Brisbane you'd understand that well enough. Let me clarify, they would maybe want to go back for a visit but not to go live there again. Any normal person would understand that well enough but you live on a different planet.

Somehow I doubt there are many people who hate America so much that they would refuse to be in America for even just a few days if it meant a major business deal, or to visit loved ones. And if they did hate American culture that much, I have bad news for them, it is everywhere else too.

I had no problem traveling back and forth between America and Australia. Both places are very nice. Besides, there is a lot of American culture even outside the USA.

What sort of person after spending a year in Australia would say they would never travel to America again? Just weird.
