Texas governor says he will ban sanctuary cities

Irrelevant. They're ILLEGAL and that's all that matters. No one is forcing them to be here. They chose to break the law by coming. They and anyone that supports them being here should get out, NOW.

that is the point; it is Only a federal misdemeanor; not a State or local issue since 1808.

That's not what the founder who actually drafted the 2nd amendment had to say. To begin, when Mr. Madison drafted the 2nd amendment, the term "well regulated" did not mean regulated by a Government, it simply meant "well working" or working as it should.

That point of view is just, right wing fantasy.

Well regulated must be prescribed by our federal Congress for the Militia of the United States.

there are no other militias, than the militias of the several United States and the general government.

That brings up an important point. Being in america illegally should be made a felony. About 12 years ago repubs debated doing that and then backed down like the traitors they are. Even overstaying a visa should be a felony.

Not totally wrong....

Tom Tancredo, U.S. Representative (R-CO), in a Mar. 29, 2006 USA Today editorial opinion entitled "Myths vs. Facts," wrote:

"[A] myth is that House Republicans want to make illegal presence in the USA a felony. The truth is Democrats voted for the felony provision, and a majority of Republicans (including me) voted against it. Right now, illegal presence in the USA is not a crime; it is a civil infraction.

The House Judiciary Committee voted to make it a felony but then was counseled that millions of new felons could clog our courts. Chairman James Sensenbrenner, (R-WI), wrote an amendment to his own bill [H.R. 4437] asking that the penalty be reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor; 191 Democrats and a few Republicans voted to keep the felony penalty in the hope that it would be a poison pill to defeat the measure."

Only if practicing the abomination of hypocrisy is an automatic disqualification for public office.

Now you know, why it will never happen.

The point is that what they do is illegal and you support doing nothing about it on ANY level.

It is a federal problem that should be solved at the federal borders with the federal powers already delegated.

It is the right that wants to do, nothing at all.

they just like being kettles and calling pots, illegal.

I propose a test.....a federal District Court for the eastern district of Michigan has ordered that the recount in Michigan begin as of last Tuesday......the Michigan Court of Appeals has just ordered that the recount is enjoined as of Wednesday......which law shall be supreme....
