Texas abortion law struck down

A federal judge has determined that new Texas abortion restrictions violate the U.S. Constitution, a ruling that keeps open — at least for now — dozens of abortion clinics that were set to halt operations Tuesday had the law taken effect.

In a decision released Monday that the state is certain to appeal, District Judge Lee Yeakel wrote that the regulations requiring doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital creates an undue obstacle to women seeking an abortion.

They knew this was going to happen when they wrote the law, this is about scoring political points, not saving lives.

It was a sound legal decision, the law was written to close abortions clinics, but that is unconstitutional under R v W. Lower courts must follow the precedent set by upper courts.

Texas must like wasting tax payer $ on frivolous legislation that has no chance of surviving challenges.

Texan Governors like to be able to raise money by pretending to try to make abortion illegal.

A sound decision from Judge Yeakel.

Its a great decision for the abortion butchers. If they screw up killing the baby and Moms life becomes a concern, they can
take her to the nearest hospital and drop her carcass off at the ER and make her someone else's problem....probably the taxpayers problem too...
