Tesla Model 3 named winner in KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own Awards 2022. MAGA wets panties

Light slippery and small engine.

1500 lbs with a full tank of gas and me sitting in it. A four-cylinder engine that sounds like a motorcycle engine. Goes like a scalded rabbit and lets you know why men have nipples...

Mine only has about 140 HP on that 1500 cc engine it has...

I had a 1971 Capri with a 1600 engine in it with a head and over head cams that my friend got from a wrecked Europa for me. It made my little car come alive. But it still wasn't in the same century as his Europa.

Domino’s acquires 800 Chevy Bolts for delivery fleet, cutting costs and attracting drivers

The world’s largest pizza company is going electric. Domino’s announced Monday it will be adding over 800 2023 Chevy Bolt EVs to its fleet, making it the largest electric pizza delivery fleet in the US.

In 2019, Domino’s ran a test program using custom electric bikes for pizza deliveries to reduce emissions and save on gas. As a result, Domino’s saw quicker delivery times and higher team member satisfaction.
The company expanded the program after proving to be a hit with delivery drivers and customers.
However, Domino’s is now taking its zero-emission ambitions to a new level. Domino’s says over 100 custom-branded 2023 Chevy Bolt EVs will roll out in the US this month, with plans to add an additional 700 over the next few months.
The company known for perfecting pizza delivery is now one of the first to implement EVs at scale. Domino’s launched pizza delivery in 1960 using a VW Beatle. In 2015, the company tested self-driving delivery and is now taking significant steps to reduce emissions, cut costs, and drive employee satisfaction.
CEO Russel Weiner, says:
Domino’s has always been on the cutting edge of pizza delivery and electric delivery cars make sense as vehicle technology continues to evolve. We’ve made a commitment to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and this is one way we can begin reducing our environmental impact, one delivery at a time.

I took down a large turbo supra with my Shelby 500 he wanted to go from 60mph . I don't play that game I slowed it down to 30 before the stomp. Killed him.

I have a close-ratio Toploader, so I'm already running at 2800 rpm at 60. A smooth shift into 3rd. at 3500 rpm broke the tires loose. I have yet to fully open the secondaries. Maybe in the spring? We'll see...

I hear ya I run 345 drag radials 24/7 and never drive it in the rain. I run slicks at the track. What engine are you running?

Fresh 427 Side Oiler.
A great engine. I had a friend that bought a 1965 LTD with a 427 side oiler with two four barrel carbs . engine and a four speed. I know it is weird for a LTD but that was the first 427 side oiler I had ever seen. It was fast for a moma's type of car. A total sleeper. It even had a bench seat in the front.

Have you ever taken your car to the track.

This one is basically stock except for a custom .630+ lift cam and Racetec pistons. 500+ hp and 490 ft. lbs. Torque.
I had a '70 Torino GT that had a bench seat.

That is good numbers fora NA engine.

I had a friend in college that had a 71 Torino that put a huge scoop on the hood. He and his girlfriend had to park the car at an angle and sit on one side to go to a drive in movie:laugh:

If I wanted to spend more, I could have had Alum heads, etc. but I chose to go the "period correct" route. Stock bore & stroke, stock period correct heads and intake. Basically what was in it when it was in it, except 50+ more HP and 9.7:1 compression so I can run pump Hi-test (garbage) gas.

I love the story Bill Crosby told about the Shelby Carl Shelby built for him. My brother has been trying to convince me to build a Ford Thunder Bolt clone. It would be a cool project. You might like to watch this video.

The guy who ultimately bought that car Cosby gave back to Carroll Shelby killed himself in it.
