It takes energy in order to store or create energy. You cannot create a battery without a LOT of energy and the minerals used are toxic when used. Used batteries are already toxic and suggesting there is a process to recover without using corrosive or toxic methods defies physics.

Any form of storage of energy, requires energy. A LOT of it. You cannot get there without chemicals and high heat. Cement, when it is mixed with water, emits the heat used to create the cement. Same goes for batteries.

Enzymes do not defy physics. They are part of physics. As long as you do not try to get more energy out than you put in, you are fine with physics. If it required toxic chemicals and high heat to get energy out of anything, we would have to have toxic chemicals, and high heat in our body.
