Second, let’s take a look at post-midterm North Carolina political demographics. The GOP has a super majority in the state senate, and missed a super majority in the house by one seat. They won both of the state Supreme Court races (flipping the SC from a 4-3 jackass majority to a 5-2 GOP majority), AND they won all 4 of their appeals court races. In Moore County itself, the two contested seats on the county commission were won by republicans, and conservatives increased their majority on the school board.

(Generally speaking, this is how I would expect the nationwide midterms to go in normal times, considering the fossilized clusterfuck in the White House right now, but hey, we’re talking about North Carolina and Moore County here, sorry for digressing.)

Moore County is 83% white, 11% black, and 6% other. Does this sound like the kind of place that would be targeted by a bunch of Trump supporting nazis?

According to court documents, in fall 2019, Frost and Cook met in an online chat group. Frost shared the idea of attacking a power grid with Cook, and within weeks, the two began efforts to recruit others to join in their plan.

As part of the recruitment process, Cook circulated a book list of readings that promoted the ideology of white supremacy and Neo-Nazism. By late 2019, Sawall – a friend of Cook’s – joined the conspiracy and assisted Cook with online recruitment efforts, operational security and organization.

As part of the conspiracy, each defendant was assigned a substation in a different region of the United States. The plan was to attack the substations, or power grids, with powerful rifles. The defendants believed their plan would cost the government millions of dollars and cause unrest for Americans in the region. They had conversations about how the possibility of the power being out for many months could cause war, even a race war, and induce the next Great Depression.

In February 2020, the co-conspirators met in Columbus, Ohio, to further discuss their plot. Frost provided Cook with an AR-47 and the two took the rifle to a shooting range to train.

Of course there is always a possibility. The question remains is why? Certainly they could do more damage, like causing a black outs in NYC for example.

This is a small county. There is no reason for it. The most likely motive is because of the drag show.

This is a hugely popular rapidly growing area, and terrorists just proved that the best places in America can easily be terrorized. The Failed Elite Class is currently doing a "Whoa, this is bad, the nation cant take much of this".

It could be a long list of people and motivations.

Attacks similar to sabotage of NC power grid have threatened US infrastructure

Just three days before two electrical substations were shot up, causing tens of thousands of customers to lose power in North Carolina, the federal Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin warning "lone offenders and small groups" could be plotting attacks and that the nation's critical infrastructure was among the possible targets.

The warning became a reality on Saturday when widespread power outages in North Carolina were reported after a perpetrator or perpetrators shot up the power stations in Moore County. The incident left up to 45,000 utility customers without electricity and prompted local officials to declare a state of emergency.

The Homeland Security "National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin" issued on Nov. 30 said individuals and groups motivated by a range of ideological beliefs and personal grievances "continue to pose a persistent and lethal threat to the Homeland."


"Targets of potential violence include public gatherings, faith-based institutions, the LGBTQI+ community, schools, racial and religious minorities, government facilities and personnel, U.S. critical infrastructure, the media, and perceived ideological opponents," the bulletin reads.
