Terrorist Plot FOILED under Obama!

Nope, they used it to get the public opinion on their side or to get the vote, it doesn't seem to be the case with Obama. His administration is making changes.

you're wrong, obama uses fear mongering as much as bush....

and it really isn't that much fear mongering if the threats are real....just like when libs defend obama's fear mongering over healthcare.....the economy....etc

The head of Homeland Security, basically saying that the admin was ginning up fear for political reasons, against his advice & knowledge?

You're kidding, right?

he said they disagreed on the threat level....thats a yawner

and i believe ridge later downplayed the entire thing and said he was not pressured....like i said...its a non issue and liberals are just hyperventilating over nothing....

Ridge is telling Good Morning America and the Erie Times-News that people are "hyperventilating" over what he wrote and taking it the wrong way.

Ridge's initial assessment was pretty clear. Anyone who has observed politics for more than a few years understands the dynamics of the "backtrack."

Beyond that, they were completely consistent with all of the other damning evidence we have that the Bush admin manipulated intel & used fear for political reasons: memo's from British intel, a bipartisan Senate committee report, Paul O'Neil, Paul Wolfowicz, Colin Powell's office, et al.

It's the proverbial mountain of evidence, and the height of naivite to deny it at this point...

to funny....you believe ridge then, but not now....like ridge said, you're hyperventilating

sure they worked some of it up, but the threats were real and as we see, the threats are still real....despite the messiah being elected

I guess Cheney was Wrong...

President Obama's Jutice Department is as effective as Bush's....

Ahhhh....I really hate to burst your bubbles, pinheads...
but you all might as well put your peckers back in your pants, rinse you mouths out, and return your heads to your rectums .......

U.S. intelligence and law enforcement had been monitoring Zazi for a year, suggested one official. Their initial interest was spurred by contacts he had made in Pakistan with "well known bad guys with reputations and histories," that is terrorists along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The contacts were mostly “message traffic”, said the official, that is telephone conversations and e-mail. Once U.S. intelligence understood Zazi was a U.S. resident, the case was turned over to federal law enforcement.

So you are saying that it was under Bush that they began to monitor and investigate him? Wow, serious pHail. I've already heard some of the more ready to accuse saying that it is a distraction and that they went after this guy now to distract from the health care debate and try to pass something unpalatable.
