It may be past due.
Democracy has to be done correctly.
If we try to implement it with a half-assed document like our constitution, it's eventually going to deteriorate so badly that it can no longer be repaired by democratic processes.
That's where we are right now. The Republic can no longer be repaired adequately by the kind of government that we have in place to try to do it.
America's only hope for rejuvenation now is a temporary left wing military dictatorship, I'm beginning to believe.
We simply have too many people within our citizenry who are malignant cancers on our society. Trumpanzees. Troglodytes. Anti-intellectuals. Theocrats. Crackers. All malignant cancers.
There is no way within the constraints of our constitution to purge them.
By the same token, the renewal of America will only be possible if they're purged.
We were going to have a hard time of it regardless.
As I've mentioned on these pages many times, the term "American" refers only to a nationality, not an ethnicity.
Cultural / ethnic diversity, much like lollipops and rainbows, sounds very pretty.
In reality, diverse nations can never have the solidarity that primarily homogeneous nations can and do have.
We've forced together too many people who really don't care to be together.
In the end, therefore, partition may be the only viable answer.
For now, though, that's not going to happen.
Biden has to round up his loyal generals and make something happen--right now!
Otherwise, bring on the mushroom clouds. It's not that we're losing much the way we are right now.
