We export more goods than you would think, but we do really well in exporting services. One of the services we do well in is education. Temu accepts your Dollars knowing that they can be used to pay American colleges for educated Chinese people.
If you remove that, it will weaken the Dollar. Why accept Dollars that the Chinese cannot spend on goods and services? That will mean Temu, and everything else, will get more expensive.
