I always think that if he did not get into congress... he would have had to sell very old used cars.

well i don't necessarily believe the hype about companies screwing employees premiums as it didn't happen here in ma.. and i could care less about the abortion thing. im most worried about runaway costs cause its what we are facing big time here in this state and we dont have near the bottom feeding population that other states have.
 
Obama gets significant credit for going to bat for HCR in the State of the Union after Brown won in Mass, but I think a lot of the credit has to go to Pelosi. Love her or hate her, the fact of the matter is that she gets shit done.

I actually think that the lion's share of the credit goes to Pelosi. I seem to remember that when Scott Brown won in Mass, the white house was totally cowering and saying that it wanted to jettison the bill and perhaps only do something on a much smaller scale. And my recollection is that is was Pelosi who said "fuck that", and went balls-to-the-wall to get this sh*t done.

I will concur to the fact that the nations first woman Speaker and the nation's first black president got this sh*t done probably makes the racist teabagger's heads explode.

I do belive Pelosi seems to have bucked up the President and convenced him to go for it!
