Ted Kennedy, Still an embarresment to the country even in death

You apologize for Bush. Over & over & over again.

It's hard to watch, actually.

Correcting you mis-conceptions over and over again is not apoligizing for anyone or anything....

Like right now for example.

Its not hard....its tedious....

GW made the final decisions on what method he would employ in handling Saddam and Iraq, by virtue of the power given to him by the Congress through the Iraq WAR Resolution that authorized him to use the US military to deal with Saddam and achieve the aims mentioned in the resolution......

Congress voted to give Bush the power to use whatever means he deemed necessary, in de facto, voting for whatever he decided, including invasion and occupation....

and that will be the last time I explain it to you.....the resolution isn't Hamlet....its easily understood by high school students and even below that level...

This was sad display, btw.

I think they should put the whole response in the dictionary under "apologism."

Well? When are you going to show us something I'm wrong about?

I have the whole time. You're a shameless apologist, whose attempts to rewrite the history of the Iraq war have failed, and badly.

The history is in the books. Even Bush has said he was the "decider," but you guys still try to absolve him. It's so weird.

What it really boils down to is the philosophy, by these RW males, of never backing down, admitting wrong or even choosing to see the world other than from a narrow introspective viewpoint.

You're the one who claims no dems voted for war. You're dishonest.

I claim no one voted for war. There was never a Congressional declaration of war. If that's what you're selling...good luck.

Bush made the decision to invade Iraq. He has spoken about it at length, and written about it in his memoir. The war is his, and will be throughout history.

Sorry about that; again, I'm not sure why you feel like you have to protect him in some way.

Well, duh, every President makes a decision to go to war or is there is no war. Bush also got congress to go along and autorize it. That is constitutional. You don't like to admit that Dems voted for it. That's fine that you don't like that, but you're lying when you say it's "Bush's war". That's your problem. You're dishonest and you're dishonest because you're a lefty.

Again - it wasn't a congressional declaration of war. That's just you mischaracterizing it. And it is Bush's war, and always will be. That's not my problem.

Apparently, it's yours. I don't think even Bush would argue that. Why are you so ashamed of him, and why do you feel the need to defend his actions?

I'm not ashamed of Bush. That's hilarious. As far as I'm concerned he didn't do enough in the war. I just don't like spin and half truths. I abhor dishonesty in the media and people like you who label things according to your political agenda.

There was never a formal Congressional "Declaration of War" for Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, or Korean military conflicts.......
So you logic claims that it is that Presidents war that was serving at each particular time....is that you claim meathead ? Seriously ?

Passing a Resolution to "USE MILITARY FORCE" is a 'de facto' authorization/declaration/proclamation, to go to war......passed and approved by congress......

No pinheaded spin by you will change the historical facts.....but do keep digging, its fun to watch you self destruct

Its not a matter of right or left, liberal or conservative....its a matter of historical fact.....and its not on your side.

Libya is 100% Obama. And who would argue that Vietnam was Johnson's war?

That's what I don't get about you apologists. I just don't feel the intense loyalty to these guys that you do to Bush.

As for self-destructing, stop projecting. I've rarely seen anything as embarassing as that Bush apology that you wrote, that I bumped a few posts ago. Why do you feel such a need to insulate him & protect him from accountability? As I have said, even Bush would reject the arguments that you're making. He was the decider. Iraq was his call, and his war.

Well, I don't know....we began sending troops to Vietnam in the 50's and continued on until the 70's.....that covers a lot of Presidents....not the mention
the Korean conflict.....and we did attack Libya before Obama became President......

My only apology is that I cannot explain history clear enough for you to understand....sadly, you shall remain an idiot until you learn it.....

There would be no Iraq War without the bi-partisan passage of the WAR RESOLUTION......I don't blame anyone for anything.....I put responsibility on those that are responsible.....and it is "those".............as in plural....

Yes, Libya is 100% Obama and can rightly be called "Obama's War". You can't do that when you have the authorization of congress. Bush would not have gone into Iraq without congressional support. If he would have, then you could rightly call it "Bush's War".

That's the truly sad comment. Although your characterization of Vietnam was sad, too. Yes, we were sending troops; but Johnson escalated. He made Vietnam what it was, and it was his war.

Just as Iraq is Bush's war. It always will be. You don't put responsibility on those who are responsible - Bush made the decision. PERIOD.

Every congressman who makes a vote is also responsible. No "yes" vote, no war.
