Ted ‘Carpet-Bomb’ Cruz

CRUZ: You would carpet bomb where ISIS is. The location of the troops. You use air power directed. But the object isn't to level a city, the object is to kill the ISIS terrorists. To make it, listen, ISIS is gaining strength because the perception is that they're winning. And President Obama fuels that perception.

Soooo. do you believe what he says or only what you 'think' he says?

BTW
How is your fellow Pa. Democrat AG Kane doing.....hear her twin sister received and sent similar obscene emails that caused the judge to resign....is she gonna
lose her job as a state attorney too......

I believe Cruz is a liar for thinking you can carpet bomb without killing innocent citizens, and making excuses for himself is repulsive. And I wonder how this so-called brilliant attorney didn't know that carpet bombing is a war crime according to the Geneva Convention. http://www.crimesofwar.org/a-z-guide/carpet-or-area-bombing/

I haven't heard about the twin sister, will have to look it up.

If Cruz supports carpet bombing then he supports killing everyone who was bombed. His weasel words don't change what he supports. Case closed.
Thats the problem. Instead of listening to what a person says, you believe what you believe....

and he even spelled it out for the likes of morons that can't read...."“I want to carpet-bomb ISIS."

It don't get any plainer than that....

The only thing closed here is your mind......

If there is any justice left in the US, maybe Kane and Hillary can be cellmates in Federal Prison:)

By definition you can't "carpet bomb" selectively. That's an oxymoron.

What's closed here is your ability to reason.

Of course you can.....you can 'carpet bomb' a missile site, a tank column, an air field, etc.....

carpet bombing doesn't have to be a city....and its not. It isn't done today with smart bombs that can hit a pickle barrel from miles away....
Do you live it todays world or the world of 1943......

The US has used saturation, or carpet bombing, in both World War II and during the Vietnam war and sometimes with large civilian deaths....that was then, this is now.

Definition of carpet bomb

  • transitive verb
  • 1 : to drop large numbers of bombs so as to cause uniform devastation over (a given area)

By the most basic definition carpet bombing is large scale saturation bombing in a manner that is aimed at inflicting damage over the entire area of a selected land.

That 'selected land' or 'given area' can be any enemy target.....its just an arcane phase, that isn't used today or mean what it conjured up in the past.....go over it....
You're sounding desperate and petty. Grasping at straws....

You're thinking of precision bombing.

Keep flailing bravs. Your desperation to defend Cruz is truly hackish.

it must have carpet.....you cannot carpet bomb a house with hard wood floors......

you are the one that provided the quote, you simple minded twit.......

Your moronic deflection is again noted. As are Cruz's vapid comments when asked a yes or no question.

"Blitzer...asked Cruz whether he would — as his "carpet bombing" phrase implied — support mass bombing of ISIS-held cities. Cruz just couldn't answer the question:

BLITZER: To be clear, senator Cruz, would you carpet bomb Raqqa, where there are a lot of civilians? Yes or no.

Basically, he's saying "we should bomb ISIS troops" which 1) isn't what carpet bombing is and 2) is what Obama is already doing. There's a legitimate argument among experts as to whether the Obama administration should loosen the rules of engagement governing whether to strike if there's a risk of civilian casualties. But Cruz isn't engaging in that debate; he's just calling for "carpet bombing" and bombing "the ISIS terrorists." It's pure tough-guy positioning."

Cruz used the phrase "carpet bomb" because it was the toughest sounding phrase he could think of that low information voters would grasp.
The comment about "green glowing sand" implies gratuitous nuclear use and is at least as concerning as his careless use of the phrase "carpet bombing".
Nuclear carpet bombing is a means towards genocide, not a tactic to exterminate a few thousand terrorists.
Cruz is insane.

Yes, but Bush himself was killing plenty of his own people too, mass incarceration system, unemployment, and all that.

Are you implying that Obama has cut the number of thugs incarcerated or that there are more people working and less unemployed ?

If you are, you better think again....

Define "thugs" BLABO ...
Do you mean the Fux Snooze definition of thug or the dictionary definition?
Poor BLABO.

Right on schedule, an ad hom from another dummy who doesn't understand the definition of carpet bombing.

Here's a tip. Read my posts about drones and Obama on this thread and others. Then you won't look like such a fool.

I wasn't discussing the differences only the hypocrisy. Obama's so called precision bombing isn't precise if it's killing civilians.

The larger point, your dummy ad hom aside, is that you come out against a politicians comment that has caused no actual civilian deaths, all the while ignoring another politicians actions that are actually resulting in dead civilians.

Hypocrisy, Christie, is what that is.
