Yeah-that's what healthy stable relationships should be made of~ WFBS. A teacher has ethical responsibilities- a mother has moral; ethical; and emotional ones-this woman breached them on every level. No matter how you dog fucks attempt to say how cool this is for the 16 year old- not one fucking aspect of it was/is cool.

As for "what damage" for the others.
Child molesters are often created because the barriers healthy individuals set up are broken down by figures in authority when they are too young to fully understand the scope of what has been done to them.
While this wasn't "child molestation" in the same sense as with a pre-pubescent child, in this case, this "man" she "created" will be more likely to break those same barriers with a younger girl when he reaches the age of majority as those same barriers were crossed before. The young man is "damaged" in a way that can create future victims that we actually may want to avoid. We shouldn't celebrate people who are willing to break down these particular barriers in young almost-men.
Authority figures really should be held to a higher standard.

Dear Toppy, yes, I know that the kid isn't likely too traumatized by it all. You asked who the victim was. In the eyes of the law it is STILL illegal to have sex with a minor. It doesn't matter if the kid enjoyed it and consented. He is still a 'victim' in the eyes of the law. That is standard throughout the US.

You do see the inherent mistake in the above do you not? a 'SMALL government' believer would NOT be approving of the GOVERNMENT being involved... at least in the case of the 18+ students with the teacher, this one involves a minor and is thus different as statutory rape is involved. i think topspin's argument is that the age set by the government is arbitrary. it is the age old (well, maybe a century or two old) of when a person reaches majority for decision making, consenting to sex or what not. only recently have governments mandated the arbitrary age of 18. in some states, it is 16. in some countries it is even younger.
while the 16 year old is a victim under the law, as SF rightly noted, it is unlikely he will suffer any kind of traumatic damage. he may suffer some damage, but he is likely bragging to all his friends about his conquest.
