If a teacher with Liberal political leanings made a comment like that about the GWB Presidency, angry Tightie Righties all over would be demanding his immediate termination.
You bet they would be demanding it.....but we know from past experience it wouldn't happen....
I had a 350 pound + gym coach when I was in middle school.
When I moved back to massachusetts, I was the new kid. There was this foreign asian kid...(tom).. couldn't even speak english much (like... broken sentences etc), and the kids were giving him a real hard time. Well when I showed up he introduced himself to me, he was so lonely and isolated that I was pretty much all he could hope for in whatever shred of solidarity he was looking for, given I was also a new, in spite of the fact that I was also American, and had lived in massachusetts before. We had zero in common.
Anyway I never really hung out with him, he really couldn't talk to me (or anyone) in any real sense, and I just clicked with other people. So poor tom was all alone again.
Well one day I was in gym with some other kids, and tom was across on the otherside playing volleyball. our Coach comes by, and says outloud to a bunch of dumb jocks, "god look at tom, he is such a faggot, he plays worse than the girls."
All the other kids cracked up laughing but I was absolutely ridiculously pissed off. On top of being in a new country, couldn't speak the language, getting teased every single day, this kid now has to have the only adult in the room call him a "faggot" in front of a bunch of dumb jock assholes. The coach basically just sanctioned all the shit they would give this kid. He was a total fucking asshole, and I hope he gets a heart attack and dies.
I probably should have said something back then but didn't. Now the coach gets to have positive media attention (wont get into what that's about) but I know the truth of what a piece of shit he is.

p.s. that isn't politically indoctrinating students. I have had teachers with pictures of che on their walls, I have had them give me assignments specifically telling me why X policy is specifically bad (always a conservative policy)... I have always had to write my papers in a liberal way or I would get lower grades. The teachers were biased as fuck growing up in commiechusetts.
