WOMAN: When the Bush tax cuts took effect in 2003 the unemployment rate was 6.2 percent. Now, in the ninth year of those cuts, the unemployment rate is 9.2 percent, so where is the evidence that these cuts for the most affluent actually create jobs? [...]

(Audience applauds)

Tea-rorist HULTGREN: I think clearly the evidence, uh, well, let me say this. I get back to the stimulus, which was another thing which –

MAN: We want the tax cuts?

WOMAN: Where’s the evidence?

ANOTHER WOMAN: Where are the jobs?

Tea-rorist HULTGREN: Good question. Let’s keep goin’. We got three minutes.

(MULTIPLE AUDIENCE MEMBERS): No answer! [...]

Tea-rorist HULTGREN: I believe we’ve got a tax system that discourages productivity. We have to adjust that. It has to be flatter. [...] Not too long ago we raised taxes in Illinois, just in the past eight months, they already told us they spent all that money. [...] My evidence is Illinois being the number one job creator for Indiana, Iowa.

Can someone be that ignorant of economics as to think that ONLY tax rates have an impact on employment....?

Could that really be the level of stupidity in the country ?

I can't actually read the post but thats what the title implies....
Ahhh well.....its not worth the effort.....Don't feed the troll.....

LOL, Yurtroll didn't read his own link in his furious frenzy to post the "gotcha" he's been searching the rightwing nutnet for...

According to the WSJ, unless it is a double secret agent for liberals, Carter added 9.8 million jobs in his term, or 2.6 million per year, while Reagan added 17.3, or 2.3 million per year.

GW Bush added 0.375 million per year, and that was with those Bush tax cuts that "had" to be enacted so that the job creators, i.e. the wealthiest 2%, would be prompted to create jobs.

The numbers don't bear that out, though.

Of the last 65 years, prior to Obama for whom the numbers are not in yet, the top three presidents with the highest job creation, in order, are Clinton, Carter, and Johnson. Reagan comes, in 4th.

GW Bush comes in dead last, after Ford, GHW Bush, and Ike. All Republicans, the last one with a full rRpublican boat in Congress.

Last. Dead last.

Obama's record does not look good at this point, not at all, but when it comes to running the economy into the ground, both deficit and debt load, Bush the younger probably ranks as the worst president on record. Ever.

And why does everybody fail to mention that under RR, the national debt was 2.5 times higher when he left than when he came in. And "job creating" taxes were lowered.

Poor Blabo.

His God, Bush said tax cuts would create jobs.

"Tax relief will create new jobs. Tax relief will generate new wealth. And tax relief will open new opportunities."

George W. Bush

Since Obama has taken over as President.....

employment was 142.0 million in Jan. 2009 and as of July 2011 it is 139.2 million....a net -2.8 million jobs.....

Obama statistics so far....18 months... is a loss of almost 3,000,000 jobs.

The tax cuts were extended. Since tax cuts were supposed to create jobs, and we've been hearing that for over 10 years now, where are the jobs?

The Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 yielded a slow economy, but one in which unemployment dropped from a peak of 8.1% in late 2001 (ya know, after 9/11/01) to an average of 5.2% from 2004-2007. The housing/bank crisis brought unemployment back up in 2008. After Obama took office, UE continued to rise after the so-called stimulus package to peak at 10.3%, after which it subsided, went down to under 9% during the peak of the 2010 census, when government hired thousands of door knockers, and then climbed back over 9% when those census workers were laid off, and has stayed hovering between 9.2 and 9.6% since.

Of course, that is not what the moron is trying to get at. The current claim by the far left brain dead is that EXTENDING the tax cuts is the SAME as cutting taxes, and therefore, according to them, means there should have been a drop in unemployment associated with extending the tax cuts.

Clue for morons, idiots, imbeciles, and all the other low intelligence equivalents of modern liberal minds (oh, and you mindless infantile trolls, too): keeping taxes THE SAME is NOT the same thing as a tax CUT. Additionally (for I heard these kinds of claims from various hard core lefties when defending certain politicians over the past few years) choosing to not RAISE taxes is NOT the same thing as a tax cut. And not raising taxes as much as your thieving political masters would like to raise them is STILL not a tax CUT. Tax CUTS are when taxes go DOWN; not up, not up just a little, and not stay the same, but DOWN.
