Why would you take them seriously in any case?
The so-called Tea Party "movement" is a loose conglomeration of decentralized pressure groups created by the Kochs and Dick Armey.
The rank (pun intended) and file consists of a few highly paid lobbyists who feed inflammatory rhetoric and talking points to a grab-bag of unpaid racists, conspiracy nuts, religious fanatics, flying saucer/Bigfoot believers and assorted garden-variety idiots who do their bidding.
These deluded morons believe they are "patriots" saving America from whatever demons they fear and hate.
Their boogeymen run the gamut. They hate/fear - Blacks, Jews, Muslims, Hispanics, most foreigners, various imaginary conspiracies, etc.
Their goal is simple: maximize profitability for the rich.
To do this, they agitate against government - environmental, labor, and health regulations, which they demonize as "job-killing" in a attempt to sway voters to vote against their own best interest.
They orchestrate falsified objections to any cessation or diminishment of tax loopholes, subsidies, or contract opportunities for the top 1% of Americans.
Through their foundations, PACs and tame media outlets they attempt to disguise their self-serving greed as "grassroots", when in fact only a small minority of malcontents identify with their "movement".
Failin' Palin, the Bach-to-Mom, Uncaring Cantor, Bawlin' Boehner and (P)Rick Perry etc. are just interchangeable figureheads that are rotated according to polling data and demographics.
