Let me guess, Parenti doesn't support a strong U.S. military?
 
Demonizing the poor and those who fall on hard times because of conservative ideology is a part of conservative propaganda. It's intent is to divide the population, to continue their constant hate spew aimed at their low knowledge and fearful prole followers.

Remember, according to rich 'christian' conservative regressives, people are poor because God made them that way not because of conservative greed.

How is it demonization to say you cannot spend money on things like drugs or booze if you are requesting assistance from the government (I.E. the people)?

How many years have you known me? there is a difference between a strong military and an over bloated military that caters to the transnational corporations and I have been saying this long before I found Michael Parenti.

Without nuclear weapons, our entire defense and state departments are useless to us in defending us from other nations that have them.

No, I just know as soon as you figure out one way they are doing it, they find a new way. I was in the banking world before I ran my own business and now I hear about medicare fraud from a family member. You have to fight it, but I am a realist and know that you fight, but you never win.
