An idea ahead of its time. IMO it is long overdue for the poor to finally pony up and PAY UP. Are we not ALL Americans? Does it not feel good and right when we ALL have skin in the game? Well,...this is the poors chance. Tax the poor, same as anyone else. They too have earned the right to take part in this great American tradition!

Also, many extremely, wealthy people pay no income/capital gains taxes - especially if they have extensive, capital gains and they work them right.

So, I am not sure what you mean.

Just because someone is poor shouldnt mean I or anyone else should pay over three times the % that they do. Pick a flat rate and thats it.
