(Reuters) - The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives gave final approval on Wednesday to the biggest overhaul of the U.S. tax code in 30 years, sending a sweeping $1.5 trillion bill to President Donald Trump for his signature.

In sealing Trump's first major legislative victory, Republicans steamrolled opposition from Democrats to pass a bill that slashes taxes for corporations and the wealthy while giving mixed, temporary tax relief to middle-class Americans.

This is supposed to be reportage by Reuters but they couldn’t help but put the spin on it.

At any rate, the historic tax reform bill gets passed without a single democrat vote.

Political ramifications?

In November 2018 when the economy is steaming along at 4, 5, percent or more and employers are begging folks to work the GOP will fail to capitalize on this act's success.

Leave it to the GOP to blow anything.

But for Trump. He’s pretty good at reminding voters of things lol.

OMG ... Liberal heads are going to explode!!!

You kidding, the GOP, out of desperation, just gave the Democrats another gift for 2018 and especially 2020

If that's the case should we expect to see democrats who have their taxes cut returning their money to the federal treasury?

Nah, the minimum amount anyone other than the top gets cut won't make any difference, come next April when the average Joe sees his piece of the "biggest tax cut in history" is peanuts the realiy will sink in, as I noted, a gift for the Democrats

It is more fun for met watching Never Trumper pussies like Cawacko cheer Trump's tax cuts than the liberals whine about it.

Speaking of gifts, WHEN you get a greater return/lower liability, are you going to send whatever that amount is back to the government you believe needs more money?
