dude...universal public education is a form of social wellfare. So are public hospitals and public transportation and public utilities and roads. Its not just welfare SS and medicare.

NOTE: I really think this is flawed. I am no where near an animal rights activist. I am skeptical of religion....but not of God. I am not Communist, but I do lean towards the Socialist on certain issues.

I am an egalitarian when it comes to human beings....but rest assured, my carnivorous ways exlude that egalitarianism when it comes to tasty animals.
