Take me to your leader

Bad news to all of you conservatives who kept denying that Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP during the stimulus fight: he is, without question.

With Jindal stumbling in his first big televised debut of the Obama era, Rush steps in and gives what Cal Thomas of Fox gushingly called a "speech for the ages," adding that Rush embodies "real leadership" (the 'comments' section of that article on Fox's site are also a treat, with right-wing drones demanding a Rush candidacy in 2012 and thanking God profusely for his existence).

People at CPAC were mostly on their feet during what to the rest of us was Rush's usual hate-filled message of anti-hope, hollering and giving him one excited ovation after another. The rightie blogs & punditry have been tripping over themselves since, re-energized and looking to Rush for the next cue.

And Rush re-iterated his desire to see Obama fail, because rooting for his success would be akin to endorsing an ideology that he thinks is deplorable. So, he'd rather be proven right than see millions of Americans get back to work.

So, no more denials: Rush is your leader. Embrace that, like so many of your brethren are openly doing. Rush is the new face of the GOP.

Good times...

Rush was the "face" of the GOP back in '94 with the Republican takeover of Congress. He is not the "new" face of the GOP in '09.

Rush was called the kingmaker in '94 because he energized right-wing VOTERS.

Now, he is calling the shots for the POLITICIANS. And they are following, and issuing public apologies when they "step out of line."

Unless I've missed a lot that was one individual who you are referring to as "politicans" and issuing public "apologies".

And while I didn't follow politics at the time I think it was more than just "right wing voters" who voted in the '94 Congressional elections to have that big of a change.

It was the massive money spent on lies that got them elected in 1994.

They flooded the media wiht adds that were full of utter lies.

The adds claimed that the 1993 ombra passed without ONE single R vote would distroy the country.

The GAO and the CBO credited that law with producing the majority of the 90s budget surpluses.

The GOP knew it was a good law but fought it anyway for political purposes so they could claim it would distroy the country.

YOu are so stupid you bought it.

The hardon for Rush from the left is hilarious...what do they always tell us, with all the problems in this country, is that all you have to talk about...:cof1:

I apologize for being repetitive but when even people on the left laugh at you for saying what you are above it makes one just say "wow".

Are you old enough to remember the fucking adds?

Go back and look at the era you fool

Oh like the ones I stated already.

That the 1993 ombra would distroy the country, it didnt now did it. Then the Rs went on to claim the fiscal responsibility that was an effect of the law.

You remember the surpluses, the 1993 ombra is what created them.

I have over 7,000 posts; about 10 mention Rush. But it's "all I talk about."

It's not a major concern of mine; part of me wants a vibrant, smart opposition party to keep the Dems honest, so that part of me is bummed, but the other part of me also doesn't mind seeing the GOP sink like a stone w/ Rush as the anchor.

Sure Desh. The whole technology boom was created out of the '93 budget.

As others on the LEFT have said, the Dems ought to have you on their payroll.

The man stepps up to speak for 20 minutes and ends up doing like an hour and a half?

I think its the R party with the hard on meme.

We just think its crazy to get all wet in the panties for an old, fat, bald, drug/sex addict who can never admitt he was wrong and cant tell the differance between fact and fiction.

Now be proud of your new leader and put a fresh new pair of panties on.

yes i want him to fail too... unapologetically so. Why the fuck would I, as a conservative, want him to expand government and social programs? You idiot.

You obama idiots live in a fantasy world, believing that you could just assume everyone was going to go along with you with smiles on their faces. Not everyone agrees with your bullshit.
