Swedish PM Magdalena Andersson has warned that submitting an application to join NATO at this time would “further destabilize the situation in Europe.” She made the comment during a press conference on Tuesday, implying that further steps toward joining NATO would have a “negative impact” on the security situation in Ukraine.

While Andersson described Russia’s actions in Ukraine as “an increasingly brutal and indiscriminate warfare that affects civilians,” denouncing the conflict as “illegal” and calling for violence against civilians to stop “immediately,” she did not seem interested in further entangling Sweden in the conflict. Stockholm has successfully delivered military equipment, she explained, and appears to be looking for further ways to support Kiev – such as strengthening its resistance to cyber-attacks – that don’t run the risk of directly involving the nation in hostilities.

If your rival- who lived ten blocks away- recruited all your near neighbors in a pact against you would you consider that an act of aggression ?

NATO is a self-defeating ' peace ' club which serves only the military/industrial complex .

Treating Uk as a NATO proxy is how we got here (NATO expansion)

Maybe I should ask myself why my neighbors feel need a to band against me?
 
Sweden sent thousands of Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle (think more modern bazooka)and AT 4 (think disposable version). They are simple to use relatively cheap and effective. They aren't guided but still they work very well and can unleash hell on a convoy.
 
Sweden always makes me think about Alexander Skarsgård. Sometimes, God is good. Do not even get me started on his Eric Northman.

Maybe in 2024 everyone will want to join NATO. The current fear is that Sweden and Finland join NATO, trump is elected, and then they are abandoned. They want to be sure that NATO will be around for a while before joining.
